They never tried to “up sell” us, and truly listened to what we wanted to get from an additional bedroom. The team was in constant communication with us in regards to time and days they would be working, and if there was ever a day they would not be on site, we knew ahead of time. We were even set back a few days due to rain, and the team came on the weekend to make up time. Throughout the process they were honest about cost, and additional things that were going to have to increase our original price. When the room was completed, originally for our teenage son, we loved it so much we moved in for ourselves! Overall we were extremely pleased with the whole process. We love our new room!"

After living with the house for quite some time, we finally decided to move the bathroom, incorporate our mudroom as indoor space, and open up our floor plan. Scott drew up great plans, created a manageable budget, and helped us to visualize the space from the start. His team created a temporary kitchen in our living room and went to work while allowing us to keep up with our jobs and manage our small child. Scott has a small team with a much wider network of subcontractors that want to work with him, because he pays them well and manages everything precisely. The Curtice Group is not cheap, but you don’t get quality work on the cheap. I can’t recommend this team enough. We couldn’t be happier with their work."

"Very well.  I acted as general contractor after my builder disappeared in the middle of the job.  I had some good contractors and some not so good ones.  HS Plastering and Painting was at the top of the good list.  The quality of their work was very good; no complaints there at all.  But what stood out was the experience of working with them.  They came when asked, did what they were asked to do, acted in a professional manner, stood by their work, and were a true pleasure to have as a contractor.  They were quick, worked weekends to get the job done, and didn't cut corners.

"The work took much longer than expected (4 months) and we ran right down to the max on what our home owner's insurance would allow for us to be put up in a hotel. D & R worked to fit us in around a lot of other jobs and this made it difficult to get much done quickly or more than 1-day per week of work in. One subcontractor was unprofessional and refused to do work he had agreed to causing us a 3-week delay. D & R was open with communication of setbacks or concerns, which we appreciated, and eventually replaced the subcontractor. Overall I am happy with the work. Some small details might be improved in the finish work. For example, there are some small lumps in some drywall patches that the painters might have finished better and one section of ceiling paint that did not match the rest of the ceiling. The flooring was replaced on the entire second floor (apx. 800 sq feet) and they did a great job with this especially considering they had all the furniture to contend with while they did the work. They provide a guarantee for a year for their work. The owner is responsive to contacts and pleasant. I would hire them again."
