"Dave was excellent. He was professional, honest and thorough. I thought I may have squirrels in the house because I heard scratching above a ceiling and saw a squirrel climbing my chimney with acorns in it's mouth.
Dave inspected all the outside areas of my house and looked in my attic. He found no evidence of squirrels or bats or anything else (other than a few mice that I can take care of).
He screened off my two gable vents and recommended securing a couple of other entry prone areas which I can do.
I highly recommend Colonial Pest Control.

"Jordan was amazing! He was so friendly and knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. He obviously enjoys what he does. Great communication and he was on time. He found the entry hole, made sure the critter was gone, and sealed it up immediately, which was no easy task because it was under my deck with maybe one foot of clearance. The cost was so much less than I expected. I highly recommend J Paul and Sons! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

For minor pest problems in Concord, promptly clean up food crumbs and store pantry items in sealed containers to deter rodents and ants. Use caulk to seal foundation cracks, and place steel wool in gaps around pipes. For spiders, vacuum webs regularly, especially in basements. Always use pest control products as directed, wear gloves, and keep treatments away from children and pets. For persistent or stinging pests, contact a local expert.

Helpful?

Concord’s four-season climate creates shifting pest control needs. Spring thaw brings increased ant and rodent activity as pests emerge from winter hiding spots. Summer’s humidity boosts mosquito and tick populations, especially near wooded areas. In fall, cluster flies and mice seek warmth indoors, while winter’s freeze drives rodents into basements and attics. Effective pest control in Concord requires year-round, seasonal strategies tailored to these changing conditions.

Helpful?

To ensure efficient pest control in Concord, start by documenting pest sightings and previous treatments. Schedule service during dry weather and align with seasonal pest cycles for best results. Clear clutter and trim vegetation near your home’s foundation. Address moisture issues, especially in basements. Choose a reputable local provider and consider bundling inspection, treatment, and follow-up visits for comprehensive seasonal pest control.

Helpful?

Concord homeowners increasingly favor integrated pest management, combining foundation sealing, attic ventilation, and rodent exclusion techniques. Gravel or mulch barriers around the home’s perimeter deter insects, while native plant landscaping reduces pest harborage. Smart monitoring devices and chimney caps are popular upgrades. Many residents opt for seasonal pest control programs, emphasizing spring and fall prevention to address Concord’s unique pest pressures year-round.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Concord should consider proximity to woods, rivers, and conservation land, which can increase wildlife and pest activity. Rocky soil and granite ledges provide natural hiding spots for pests. Historic homes often have hidden entry points, while mud season and winter snow may limit exterior access for treatments. Be aware of neighborhood characteristics and seasonal tourism, which can affect contractor availability and scheduling.
