"We hired Kings Moving to move my daughter and son-in-law into their first home. They were able to find an opening on a Sunday so we didn't have to take any time off from work. Cody, one of the movers, found out that my daughter had also bought a washer/dryer, but couldn't be delivered for at least another 3 weeks because of COVID so he picked up the washer/dryer for them, took it to their basement and hooked everythinng up. Very much appreciated and if we ever need a moving company again, we will be calling Kings!"

"Mayan, Brandon, Chris and Karl did a great job on our short distance move. They arrived on time and worked quickly and professionally. Their care and concern for our furniture they were moving, was very much appreciated. The experience of booking and arranging for the move with All My Sons Moving and Storage was easy and the follow-up was timely. The process and the people helped to reduce the stress and strain of moving!"

Oh my goodness! Our first contact with Moving Made Smooth was fantastic. Kendra at the office was pleasant, knowledgeable and just a real sweetheart. Ken, who is the owner came out and gave us a rough estimate and after talking to him we knew this was the company to go with. His passion, commitment to excellence and desire to please us was clearly evident.

We've moved a lot in the USAF and by far this was the best we've ever experienced! The A team (Andrew, Elliott, Correy and Mike) were outstanding! They listened to our concerns and were very personable we had a great time with them. They were very cautious in moving the large pieces of furniture downstairs, setting up a mirror, protecting our walls, base boards and wood floors (love those neoprene runners.)

We couldn't have been more pleased. Having this company move us was truly a blessing and helped take the stress out of moving for the LAST TIME!

We highly recommend Moving Made Smooth and would have no other movers.

"This moving company was top notch! I would hire them again to move. The team was very nice and helpful. There was a problem with them getting some grease on the carpet of the home we moved from due to their moving equipment. But, they immediately hired a cleaning company and had it cleaned and all was great! Great company! Would hire them again for sure!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

No, homeowners insurance does not typically cover moving expenses. Homeowners insurance provides coverage and pay-outs if you experience damage to the home you currently live in. You’ll need to save separately for moving expenses like hiring movers, renting a tow truck, or shipping your belongings.

The best way to pack mirrors is to use specially padded cartons or boxes made for mirrors. Be sure to thoroughly wrap the fragile mirror in padded paper or bubble wrap before sliding it into its box. That way, there’s a protective barrier in between the mirror and the box. Then, fill in any gaps with crumpled paper or additional packing materials.

Planning your office move should ideally start three to six months or more in advance. This timeframe allows plenty of time for tasks such as researching moving companies, creating a budget, coordinating with employees, decluttering and organizing, packing, and addressing any logistical challenges. Starting early also ensures that you have flexibility in scheduling and can handle unexpected hiccups that may arise during the planning process.

Once you complete the moving process, you’ll have to transition into paying for your new living expenses, including monthly rent or mortgage payments. You should also consider the cost of property taxes, utilities, and new furnishings for your home.

Move date means the day that you are relocating your items from one space to another. If you’re renting, your move out date is usually the same as the last day of your lease, but it won’t necessarily be the same as your move-in date to another property.
