"We had no idea who to call and ended up calling 5 or 6 companies who never called us back or sent us quotes after coming out to assess our needs. We had a flood originating from an upstairs bathroom sink and had damage to two floors of the home. Upstairs and downstairs. All the carpet had to be removed, ducts to be insulated and wrapped, drywall needing repair, and an entire hall bathroom retire after pulling out the cabinet that was damaged. Somehow I ended up finding New Idea and called with desperation. We couldn't get the insurance company to help us and felt like we were just another claim ignored. Shannon and Mike showed up and immediately put us at ease. They handled communication with the insurance company, walked us through the repair plan, and assured us we would be get through this after two months of feeling like giving up. "I had originally sent Albert's Paint an email to request an appointment for an estimate along with 2 other companies. I ended up calling to get the estimate scheduled. The estimate that was given was well below that of the other two companies. This would normally be a red flag if it weren't for the fact that they had several good reviews on Angie's List. A relative was there while the work was bing done. Initially there was a little confusion about what was to be done. The contractors were told the Master bedroom, but I wanted to have the wall paper removed and the walls painted in my kitchen and bathroom along with the hallway ceiling. I had kept a copy of the itemized estimate and had my relative show them the sheet. Overall they did a really good job. You can't tell that the walls had to be heavily spackled. When moving the refrigerator, they accidentally put a small tear in my vinyl floor. I left them a message that night and they were out the next day to repair it.
