"From the appointment setter Deja to my carpenter Ziv, I received the best service than I could have imagine. Deja was professional and made me feel welcomed not just a number. She answered all of my questions and was thorough. Ziv was professional, quick, and educational. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why. The work was exceptional and flawless. Thank you both!"

"David did a super job. Responded quickly, fixed it in promptly. Looks great. Clean up was the best I have ever seen from any contractor. Covered everything in plastic, put up containment plastic barrier. Then Vacuumed and mopped floors, wiped down the counters and even vacuumed and swept the garage. Awesome job. Highly recommend David Duarte and his company Gidawe."

"Ernesto and his workers are the best contractors we have ever hired. I saw their work at Mail’n’More (Burnt Hills, NY), which is fantastic. Took a card, called Ernesto. He gave us an estimate the next day, we set a time two weeks hence, and he and his crew not only showed up exactly on time, but called from Lowe’s to say they’d be over soon. A four-day painting job took two days, and they cleaned thoroughly. Beautiful job, fair price, excellent workers!"

"I would highly recommend this business.  We had them come and restain the deck and at first just powerwash the house.  They scheduled the work right away.  After doing the pressure washing, there were some areas with paint chips under the soffit.  Mike offered to repaint those for free.  During this, they noticed areas of the soffit that were rotten, so we had them repair those areas of the wood.  They also fixed a few screens that were damaged during the pressure washing for free.
Everything turned out great, and we are very happy we had this work done.  Mike and Crystal are very professional and easy to work with.  I will be having them do some more work on our house in the near future.

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

While framing a basement is not as difficult as finishing a basement, it's something you should typically leave to the pros. That’s because if something is installed correctly, it will affect your entire basement. However, you can take care of some of the smaller tasks, like filling holes or putting up some insulation.

A cross brace for a fence gate should stretch from the top corner of the gate’s hinge side to the bottom corner of its latch side at a 45-degree angle to the bottom of the gate. This positioning distributes the bulk of the gate’s weight to the base of the post, taking pressure off the top hinge.

The primary parts of a house that need framing during construction are floors, exterior walls, interior walls, and the roof. The framing in these areas provides the skeleton for adding other materials over the top. With walls, for example, contractors can hang drywall over the interior walls and siding over the outside of the exterior walls. Proper framing ensures a sturdy house that is built to last.

Yes, you will need a jack for a rim joist replacement. To prevent sagging and facilitate the removal of load-bearing wood, you’ll need to relieve the pressure from this joint before beginning work.

Due to hydraulics and other specialized equipment, a sill plate and rim joist replacement are not typically a DIY project. Hiring a professional structural engineer and experienced contractors is the best approach to replacing rotted sill plates and rim joists.

You can enclose an open carport, however, there are several things to consider before opting to do so. You'll want to check local building codes and permit requirements before proceeding to make sure it’s legal. While you can sometimes stick-frame a carport enclosure, pre-fab kits are also available. Remember that you'll likely need to meet concrete slab regulations and provide lighting inside the structure. Both of which could substantially drive up costs.
