"If I could give Wager Appliance 10 stars, I would! Wagner Appliance has helped the #IBSpeasBees three times in 2 years! They DONATED a Washing Machine in October 2020 just as our students were returning to in-person school when ours suddenly broke and could no longer be repaired. Then in March 2021, our very old Refrigerator in the staff room bit the dust. They came through again with a donation as the school system does not provide schools with Refrigerators for staff rooms. Then we asked if they had a Compact Freezer for storing ice closer to our gym where we have PE classes and students often get "hurt" and a small baggie of ice fixes all of the problems. They donated again!!! This delivery was extra complicated. The amazing delivery guys were going to come on September 1, 2021 and called to confirm their arrival at 12:15 p.m., just as our elementary school went into lockdown because of a disturbance at Mt. Tabor. We were unaware of the severity of this disturbance at the time. We confirmed the scheduled delivery for later that afternoon. As the situation became more clear, the very concerned professionals called and let us know they would come another day and to just give them a call at the shop to reschedule. The next day, our school completely forgot to reschedule the delivery, but the driver called us and arranged for a delivery that very afternoon! This is top-notch service and delivery! We are so, so impressed, and so very thankful for their kindness and concern!!! Please share this story! Wagner Appliance went above and beyond in service of our school and students! "Lowes contracted out Privacy Fencing for my fence. They had to come out 9 times to try fix all of their knowingly negligent mistakes. 7inch gaps, 5inch gaps, warped gate that was never fixed. They knowingly used split and warped wood of 2 different colors. No nails in several boards. Concrete all over my yard. Section of the fence wobbled back and forth. Privacy fencing tried to cover mistakes(gaps) by a horizontal board at the bottom. Lied to Lowes and said they reconstructed the warped gate. Still warped. PF said stick a pole in the ground to unwarp it. I have all the pictures. Lowes doesn't come out to check, lowes just takes your money. Two months of nightmare and a huge inconvenience. Asked for a 15% discount. Lowes said "No". They will act like they are supporting you, but they don't care about your time when they hire an inadequate fencing company. I will have to live with a two-tone color fence with a warped gate, gaps and all my lost time dealing with these poor businesses."

You can lay a refrigerator down to move it with a lot of padding underneath, but it’s best to transport it upright to keep the cooling refrigerant and compressor oil in place. These elements can cause blockages if not given time to settle before turning the fridge on. 

If you need to lay the fridge down to move it, position the fridge door hinges so that doors won’t open while moving.

Like cars, the most expensive part of a dryer is any electrical component, specifically the control board. For newer dryers, this single part, excluding the labor required to replace it, can easily be worth more than half the price of a new unit. While you can sometimes source these more expensive pieces (ask a contractor friend if they have any) when the control board is shot, it’s common to sell the unit for parts and replace it with a new one.

Appliances that are smudge-proof stainless steel have a protective clear coating that makes them smudge-proof. Unfortunately, you can’t truly remove a scratch on this surface without also removing that special coating. Your best bet is to let the scratch be or protect it with a small dab of clear nail polish. 

You can risk the option of buffing out the scratches, and be very diligent in coating the area you buffed with oil to reduce the dullness. Just know that if you choose to buff it out, there’s a possibility that the spot won’t look the same as the rest of the appliance.

You can take as many liberties as you like during the island design process. Here are some unique ideas that you can add to your kitchen island:

  • Open shelving

  • Reclaimed barn wood

  • Peel and stick wallpaper

  • Backsplash ideas such as tile or peel-and-stick options

  • Add a wine fridge or bookshelf to the side of your island 

  • Multi-colored paint—choose a statement color for the backside of the island

  • Vintage or one-of-a-kind hardware

  • Renovate a kitchen island from an old dresser or trunk

If you move your fridge upright, you can turn it on right away without letting it settle. If the fridge was laying down during transport, check its manual to find out how long you should let it settle before turning it on again. Usually, it’s safest to wait about 24 hours. If you don’t allow the refrigerant and compressor oil to settle, you may end up needing refrigerator repair.
