"I erroneously believed that the workman blew our outlet, but they did not. (User error!) Sorry about that. They did such a fantastic job that both the electrician and the electricians assistant who came to add the outlet separately asked who did it! They would never seen such a great encapsulation. For all of these reasons, we recommend hiring a knowledgeable local plumber to replace a hose bib.

When a backflow valve fails, wastewater will flow back into your system, contaminating your drinking water. You’ll immediately notice backflow valve failure from a rotten smell and brown water coming from faucets. Get in contact with a septic pro or a plumber immediately if you suspect this has happened to you.

The biggest sign that your flange leaks is if you notice water at the base of the toilet. The cause is likely due to a poor flange installation, so you might have issues with loose bolts, an uneven flange, or a cracked plastic flange. Add a deteriorating wax seal to this, and you have a recipe for disaster. The best solution is to shut off the water valve, replace the toilet flange, and seal it with a new wax ring.

Running water can help melt ice inside the pipe, but only up to a certain point. If your pipe is frozen solid, adding water will not likely resolve the issue. Water will begin to flow through the affected pipe once the area is heated by a plumber, signaling the issue is getting resolved.
