"WB Lightning Rods did an excellent job installing lightening rods on our home. The owner stayed onsite the entire time to supervise the work. He took extra care to plan the rod and cable placement to ensure the proper protection and retain the aesthetics of our home. His crew were knowledgeable, polite, neat and efficient. We could not be more pleased with the results."

"In December there was a terrible storm, lighting hit my house.  I was recommend to call Multiphase Electroteck Services by a friend.  I got Mr. Drummond and asked him to come and give me a estimate to see how much damage was done and cost of
repairs.  I like the way that i was on time and gave everything  proof check and trouble shooting for the faults, upon completing
he made known what the problems were  and gave an estimate to complete the repair. Also let me know that there maybe
unforeseems repairs to be done.  He said that he shall let me know before doing any repairs and cost of.
What I like most is that the replacement parts was of good quality.  His manner was always professional.  He clean up behind himself and made sure that everything was to my satisfaction.   Out of all the estimates his was the most reasonable for my
budget.   I've since told 2 persons that was having electrical problems."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

When wiring a switch, the power typically comes into the receptacle first. The neutral wire goes straight to the outlet, while the hot wire is split. You'll need a wire nut to splice the hot wire back to one of the receptacles, but you will also tie another wire into that same wire nut and run to the switch. That way, you can control the flow of electricity to that particular receptacle by turning the switch on and off.

There are three main wires on a doorbell, typically color-coded white, black, and green, that are connected to a transformer box in your home. One wire runs to the doorbell button, another wire runs to the door chime, and the third wire runs between the doorbell button and the door chime.

We highly recommend that you use an electrician to wire a doorbell if you don't have electrical skills. You can tackle this project on your own, but it would be best done alongside a professional to reduce all the safety risks, as working with wires can be dangerous and potentially deadly.

Smart light switches are designed to be compatible with most lights and traditional home wiring, but there are several key factors to check. First, verify your home's wiring, as some smart switches require a neutral wire to operate, which may not be present in older houses (often built before 1985). Always check the wiring requirements for the specific model you choose. Second, consider your light bulbs; while smart switches work with almost any light, using a dimming feature requires dimmable bulbs, such as dimmable LEDs. Finally, ensure you have the necessary network connection. Most smart switches need a Wi-Fi connection for remote control, but some older models might use other standards like ZigBee, which would require a compatible hub.

While not always necessary, wiring your circuit breaker in a certain way can ease both the installation process and use afterward. For starters, you’ll need to install the electrical panel so that the main service knockout aligns with the cable conduit. If they aren’t aligned, you may not have sufficient working space to finish running the wires. Using cable trays, on the other hand, gives you a bit more freedom to and flexibility in where and which direction you install the wires. At the end of the day, the power flow will be the same whether the cords run up or down.
