"Coming from a big city like New York I didn’t know much about septic systems. So it was all knew to me. I started to have water coming up in the yard. I noticed that it had a foul smell and a small puddle in the back yard. I contacted a buddy of mine who has a septic tank at his home. He told me to contact a company he used about a month ago. NC septic and pump specialist. He told me that they did a drain field line job for him and that it was awesome. So I called and made an appointment. It was a 9-11 am appointment and they showed up at about 9:30 and even called 30 min before they showed up. He arrived and introduced himself as Gage Martin the owner. I advised him that he came highly recommend by a good friend of mine. I took him to the area that had the puddle . He advised me that it would have to be pumped out and he can let me know more after. After pumping it down he advised me that the tank was in bad shape and should be all the cracks and route’s growing with in the tank. I could see that it was just rotting away. I advised Mr Martin that i was not to up on septic systems. He took his time and explained everything to me step by step. The way it works, what not to put in the tank, how the system actually operates. I asked him to quote me a price for a new tank. He had his office contact me with a quote with in an hour. and pictures of the inside and outside of the tank as well as all the damage to the tank. Also gave me the information needed to contact the people in the city and county to begin the process for the install. Even Help me with obtaining a permit to do the work. The work took about 2 days after I received the permit. I have a new tank and my system is running great. Thank you Gage for going above and beyond. For taking the time to explain all the moving parts of a septic system. Letting me know what to look out for and what not to put inside the tank. He even put me on a yearly check up. They will send me an email and remind me when it’s time to get my tank pumped. Thank you NC Septic & Pump Specialist for making my septic experience not so crappy. Lol."

"Brian returned my phone call within an hour and was able to do my repairs the same morning! I am aware this might not always be the case, but I had been trying for 2 weeks to get a plumber to take or return my calls or show an interest in doing my repairs! Brian was extremely polite and professional... he will be getting all my plumbing business from here on out!"

"James Cress Jr Water Pump Company came out to check my well and give me an estimate on work to be performed. He was punctual with his appointment with me. He replaced my pump in the well and I am one satisfied customer. I will call him again. I will be referring him to family and friends. I was satisfied with the hob and the cost was reasonable."

"Joe fixed our bathroom leak by replacing the faulty hardware with the proper hardware and patched the wall back up and repainted the wall (with the perfect color match) where he had to cut out to diagnose. You can’t even tell there was a hole there. Joe took the time to explain everything to me of what our issue was and how he fixed it. He was on time, explained how long the job will take, and very thorough. Very professional work. My husband and I will definitely use Cransten again for our house projects in the future. Before and after photos from the leak damage and repair included with this review."

"Very professional company. Salesman was friendly smart and knowledgeable. He offered me multiple levels of service to fit my needs and budget. The crew Gerber H. William B. and Jordan P. were friendly and very professional. They answered all my questions and had good advice for me on protecting my home from water damage such as drainage and gutter routing. They worked well and quietly. The job they did is amazing. They turned my dungeon like crawl space into a clean bright space. They removed all the debris that collected over the years from plumbing and foundation repairs. And left my yard neat and clean just as it was before they started. They also took all the trash with them. Middle management stayed in touch and kept me informed of scheduling and the process. I would hire them again if I need there service. I do recommend Dry Pro highly for your project."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

There are a couple of similar alternatives you may consider for a sewage ejector pump, including a grinder pump or a submersible sump pump. Submersible sump pumps protect your home from flooding from outside water, though, rather than handling wastewater from inside. A grinder pump macerates, or shreds, solid waste before pumping it onward to the sewer line.

You can buy pipe insulation materials in your local hardware store or in major home improvement stores. You can also shop for insulation online, where you may be able to more easily buy in bulk. When shopping, make sure you know your pipe's dimensions so you can buy the correct size of pipe insulation materials for your pipes.

Due to the exposed plumbing, pedestal sinks are more challenging to install than traditional closed vanities. Pedestal sinks may also require additional floor and wall support or demolition. However, if you have the correct plumbing in place, then installing a pedestal sink is pretty straightforward and can be completed in a day. However, it’s best to hire a professional sink installer to ensure it’s done correctly.

The toilet flange anchors to the subfloor, usually with wood screws or cement screws, but most of it should sit above floor level at full height. When a flange is flush with the subfloor or below it, it can lead to the creation of leak paths.

A back pressure valve is a control valve used on production vessels, such as separators, treaters, and free water knockouts. The valve holds pressure until a set point is reached, and then releases upstream pressure to reset. Back pressure valves are not safety mechanisms. Instead, they are regulators designed to keep the fluid, gas, or liquid mixture in a system at a certain pressure level to prevent bursts and other incidents.

Meanwhile, a backflow preventer is a safety mechanism that kicks in when the pressure has already failed and contaminated water flows in the reverse direction. Most backflow preventers consist of two one-way valves, or check valves assembled together. This design only allows water to pass through in one direction but not the other.
