"Danzy did an excellent job of getting all pieces of the project done efficiently so I didn't have to go very long without full use of my kitchen. He answered my questions promptly. He also reinstalled my old faucet, saving me money. He was very kind as well."

"Great honest contractors. They did my bathrooms, hot water heater, unclogged my house drain and they did a French drain so my basement is not wet anymore. I already hired them to do my whole roof in the spring. I will hire them anytime."

"Would highly recommend Ashia Tile & Marble. Alvin was great! Came out quickly to give me an estimate. He had to take out & replace a portion of the tile in the kitchen due to installing a new dishwasher. He was very helpful and very courteous. Such a nice, genuine person! He had to try & match the existing tile. Did a great job matching the tile. You can't even tell it is different. He also filled in where the grout had come out in other places in the kitchen. His response time was great. Would definitely hire him again!!"

Small jobs welcome

"Hands on Granite did an EXCEPTIONAL job repairing my kitchen granite countertop! Once Kevin completed the work, I was unable to spot where the damage had initially been! The results surpassed all my expectations! Kudos to the entire Hands on Granite team for their excellent workmanship!! Their promptness, politeness, knowledge, and professionalism are unparalleled! Special thanks to Nadia, and Kevin!! It was indeed a delightful experience doing business with you!! I am eagerly anticipating the next task of replacing some of my kitchen backsplash tiles. Judging by the quality of the granite work, I am convinced that you've earned a lifelong customer!!"

"The carpets were clean. They were cheap and all I needed was a rental cleaned. I would like to warn others who use this company that the carpets were wet for over 28 hours. This did not matter to me since I have already moved out but just FYI. the guys were great and the carpets are clean (though it was new construction 2 years old) I have 3 kids under 10 and there were no stains anywhere"

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Engineered stone doesn’t need sealing because it is non-porous. The manufacturing process creates a natural stain resistant to moisture, which also makes it easy to clean.

Engineered stone is known for its durability, lasting 15 to 20 years or longer. Of course, this range assumes high-quality materials and regular maintenance. After a couple of decades, the stone will start showing its age. Watch for discoloration, fading, stains, and burns, but it’s unlikely that engineered stone will experience structural failure.

Rubbing alcohol won’t damage most countertops, and you can mix it with water to create a disinfecting spray to keep your kitchen clean. It’s safer than using bleach on countertops, which can stain and cause discoloration. Be careful with rubbing alcohol when it comes to lacquered or varnished surfaces, though.

You should always seal cut countertops to prevent damage and to keep them looking their best. The right way to seal countertops depends on the type of material. For laminate and wood, apply epoxy or other specialty sealers by pouring it onto the countertop and letting it flow across the whole surface to the edges, guiding it with a paint stick or putty knife. You will need to move quickly so that it does not dry or harden before you are done. For stone countertops, use a sealant specially manufactured for your type of stone and apply it according to manufacturer directions.

Rock salt and ice melts contain sodium chloride, aka salt, and are corrosive to metal and concrete. If used frequently over time, it can cause corrosion, discoloration, chipping, and cracking to patios, walkways, and driveways. You can try a rock salt alternative or hire a professional snow removal company instead.
