"After a couple of quotes, we decided to go with BWM. They were so professional and nice. There was an unforseen accident, and one of our water lines were knicked. I have never been so impressed by anyone's dedication to his company. We didn't find out until a few hours after the job was complete. The owner Allen came as soon as I called. He stayed with us until late that evening, while we waited for an emergency plumber. His integrity alone will bring me back to use BWM electrical."

"Due to our wi-fi signal not reaching upstairs very well, we needed to have an ethernet cable run from where the fiber line enters the house, upstairs and across to our office rooms. This would let us put the wi-fi router upstairs, providing a huge boost in speed (speed we were paying for but not getting). Donovan came out on a Monday to gave me an estimate and explanation of what he needed to do to run the cable. I called him up on Tuesday and he came out that day to do the install. It didn't take long, and he was very kind and explained everything along the way. He even painted the conduit that needed to be run up the side of the house so that it matched the siding. If you need him for electrical or other appliance work, give him a call. I'd definitely hire him again."

"Our motor burned out the week before Christmas during the night. I called Alpine and the serviceman was at our home the next morning.
He determined the problem, let us know the cost and the part was ordered immediately. He installed the part as soon as it came in. We have been standing customers with Alpine and the prior HVAC company with a service plan. We appreciated their responsiveness and flexibility. R Hall Durham

FAQs for ev charger installation projects in Micro, NC

Generally, general contractors charge between $50 and $150 hourly, though not every contractor charges by the hour. If charging based on the project, you can expect a markup of 10% to 20% of the construction cost. You can expect to pay between $300 and $500 daily if charged by the day.

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

General contractors are the ones that coordinate home construction projects. They are in charge of the day-to-day oversight of the subcontractors to ensure that the project is completed on time and to resolve problems as they arise. General contractors:

  • Complete pre-construction planning, both with the customer and crew

  • Provide realistic cost estimates

  • Develop construction timelines

  • Ensure deadlines are met

  • Acquire permits as needed

  • Purchase supplies and materials

While city and state laws vary on general contractor licensing requirements, hiring an unlicensed general contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines for your area.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
