ALL PRO Packing and Moving is conveniently located in Central North Carolina. Operating from our headquarters in Winston Salem, we have easy access to locations all across the state. We have more than 20 years of experience in the packing and moving industry. We are also fully licensed, bonded and insured. We’ll put all of our skills and credentials to work for you.

"Well... they were late to start. Then when they finally did arrive, within the first 10 minutes I heard one of the movers say they needed to hurry up and get this job done because we have another to do and I want to go home by 5pm. First off, If I am PAYING you to do a JOB, I don't appreciate hearing this kind of talk. They were just inadequate, they got the job done, yes but I wasn't thrilled in how it was being completed. I believe they broke my washing machine and they ripped the dryer hose off of my dryer, breaking the housing on the back - we had to replace that. Yes, I said RIPPED it off, didn't bother unscrewing it just yanked it off, breaking it. We fixed the hose on the dryer but my washing machine is messed up and it was fine prior to the move. The set is only about 2 years old, if THAT. I am very unhappy with the service I received. Not to mention there was an incident or so they claim and the nancy boys called the home office and complained that my husband was acting in a violent manner. Um No he was ****** off because of their behavior and the things they had said about having another job to get to and let's hurry this one up so we can get out of here. So that did NOT make a good impression from the get-go, not to mention they were an hour late. So we were already in a mood. I gave them a fair rating because they did get the job done, but would I hire them again? Absolutely NOT."

"This is probably the worst move I've ever experienced, and am still trying to get things fixed without accusations from Andy Anderson. Glass broken, glass missing, refusing to plug in my wall unit, door deeply gouged door in guest bedroom, one of my mats was taken and not returned and my laminate flooring scratched. As I was taking pictures of the floor the worker said he was going to go home since I was taking pictures, said it offended him. To make matters worse his movers called me, was a smart mouth and hung up on me. Mr. Anderson called later, accused me of saying they were stealing from me, was taking care of his sick son and had to "drag" him into the office to call me, talked over me, was very rude and unprofessional. Then just like his mover hung up on me. I had much the same experience with him today, called to find out where something had been put and once again he went off on me, talked over me then hung up on me. I was extremely polite with him, but that didn't seem to matter. Said it was costing him over $200 to cut 2 pieces of glass, really? The only way I see that I will get my house fixed, property repaired and things brought back to me that were taken is through legal action. Court house here I come next week!"

We were delighted when you followed up after we were all moved in to check on the small details and to be sure that everything went smoothly. And we’re confident that if we had moved across country, you would have retrieved that bed part and gotten it to us so we could sleep in our bed the first night in our new home! "Allen is simply awesome and so is his son and everyone at Pinnacle. Use them without any worries about the move being professional and easy. It was a short notice as my house was a quick sale (30 days). So they had maybe a week to put me on the schedule and then just a couple of days to prep/pack everything in the house, move it to Stokes Storage, another great guy in Jay, and finish with a clean out. All worked together to get the job done in record time for my deadline."

Steele & Vaughn Moving & Storage provides quality moving services for North Carolina. We are a Greensboro, NC based moving company that has a professional team capable of moving you across the country, or just around the block. Customized estimates are provided for both local and long distance moves by having a professional move consultant come to your home to conduct a move inventory and create a no-obligation price quote.

"AVOID STEELE & VAUGHN FOR INTERSTATE MOVES I am a senior professional who has moved 12 times over 35 yrs (including internationally) and my move with S&V was the worst move experience I have ever had. I don't generally write reviews of this type but I feel compelled to do so now to warn others. I initially used S&V for a move from VA to GSO in 2018 and it was handled well. Based on that, I returned to S&V 18 months later for a move to Houston. S&V told me they regularly handle interstate moves. Here's what happened: • My initial plan was to move directly to HOU in March, after I found a home here. However, 2 wks before Christmas, I received an offer on my house in GSO which required me to vacate in early Jan. S&V said “no problem.” However, then the problems emerged fast and furious. • 1st, I asked for my shipment to be sent directly to HOU and stored here. As S&V does not have an affiliate in HOU, they convinced me to store in GSO where they could control the cost (i.e., collect the storage fees). • 2nd, I now had to pay for 2 moves – a local move into their GSO storage facility and an interstate move to HOU. At this point, I should have realized that S&V could not handle the move. But, at the time, I was dealing with everything that comes with selling a home, starting a new job, traveling for work, and preparing for the move and the holidays. • 3rd, after the truck moved away, I discovered that a small suitcase and 2 chair cushions were loaded onto the truck by mistake, items in the guest toilet were left behind, and damage was done to the door sills. • 4th, after scheduling the move to HOU, S&V called to ask me about delivery logistics in HOU. They had looked at my address on Google Maps and concluded that they could not park their truck on my street. This was probably right, but one would expect that they knew how to deal with this. After all, they are a moving company. Nope. The requests I received were to ask my landlord and call the City of HOU to determine if I needed to get a permit for their truck. This request came in the middle of a very busy work week as I was adjusting to a new job in a new city. Nevertheless, I immediately tried to get in touch with my landlord (but he did not respond) and I said that I would drive by the house over the weekend. As I was getting pressure from S&V for an answer, I took the logical next step – I called other moving companies in HOU to determine how they would handle the delivery. • 5th, as I talked to other movers, I thought it advisable to consider having another mover collect my items in GSO and deliver them to HOU as S&V was increasingly appearing to be unfit for this portion of my move. So, I asked for information from S&V about wgt and cu ft to find out what it would cost to have someone else deliver them. • 6th, within less than 60 mins of finding out that I was considering other options (and more than 2 wks before my scheduled delivery), Bryan Jones, the S&V owner, unilaterally cancelled my scheduled move and told me to get another mover. This was done by email (without the courtesy of a call) and despite my advising him that I was simply trying to get information on how to get my move done efficiently on the basis that S&V had placed on me the onus of working out the HOU logistics. • What followed were the torpedoing of my very busy workweek arranging another mover, extra cost, and a series of emails from Bryan seeking to justify with selective facts his unprofessional judgment and business practice of unilaterally cancelling a scheduled move for a 2-time existing customer (who he referred to as a “potential customer” despite the fact that my 14,000 lbs of household furnishings were sitting in his warehouse) without the courtesy of a discussion to work out what could have been chalked down to, at best, a mis-communication or, at worst, a job that was too big for S&V to handle. My dismay with S&V remains as I unpack my shipment to find crushed and broken items and unusual packing decisions (Why is the power cord for the TV on the 3rd floor packed with the dishes from the 1st floor? Why was a heavy item packed on top of a $250 flower arrangement? Why are heavy items packed at the bottom of dishpack size boxes? Etc). I have asked Mr. Jones to refund a portion of the fees that I paid to S&V to cover the added expense of hiring a 2nd moving company and to remediate the low service quality. His response has been to accuse me of “extortion”, to threaten to report me to the Bar and to repeat his selective facts justifying his decision to cancel my move, which he will no doubt post here. As I have no desire to deal with him further, I’m chalking this up to a bad experience to learn from. My recommendation to others: If you have a complex, long-distance move, take the time and make the investment to go with a reputable national/international moving company and steer well clear of S&V."

FAQs for professional moving service piano projects in Mayodan, NC

Before your piano movers arrive, it’s a good idea to prep the piano for its journey to avoid damage, as well as clear a path to make the move as easy as possible. You can start by using bubble wrap and moving blankets to protect the keys, lids, and pedals. Drape moving blankets over the piano and secure them, if possible, to protect the surface from damage. Next, clear furniture and other obstructions out of the path from the piano to the door. It’s also wise to maintain a close spot for the moving truck to park out front.

Yes, it is absolutely worth it to hire piano movers. Pianos are heavy and bulky, which makes them very challenging to move safely and without causing damage to the piano and your home. Hiring piano movers is especially worthwhile if you need to move the instrument up or down staircases, as that can put you and your helpers at risk of serious injury. Overall, the price you’ll pay to hire a professional piano mover pales in comparison to the damage you could do to your piano or your home if you attempt the move yourself.

It is not necessary to tip piano movers, and workers from reputable companies generally won’t expect tips. However, if you’re pleased with the service and the movers are friendly and respectful, tipping can show your appreciation for how well the crew cared for what is likely a very expensive instrument. Tipping between $20 and $40 per mover is about average.

It is certainly possible to move a piano without hiring movers, but it’s not recommended. Not only will you need at least four people to lift and maneuver the piano, but getting it around tight corners and down flights of stairs might not be possible without the help of movers. Plus, pianos are exceptionally heavy and bulky, which means you and any helping hands are at risk of injury, as well as an increased risk of damaging your piano. Ultimately, it’s always worth it to call in a professional piano mover.

The average cost to move a piano is around $400, but your total will depend on the type of piano and your living situation—tight corners and flights of stairs will complicate the move. Moving an upright piano will be more affordable—around $250—and a full grand piano will cost closer to $550. Long-distance moves will bump all of these prices up and sometimes double them if the move is across state lines.
