"My electrician was TJ and he did an amazing job. First up was installing a new heavy chandelier in the dining room. He determined the junction box wouldn't hold the weight of the new chandelier and installed one that would. Chandelier install went great. He moved forward to installing electrical two wall sconces in the dining room. Going into this project I was fulling expecting the whole wall to require drywall repair. In the end, I have one small, very neat, hole in the kitchen that will need repair. The chandelier had two single wall switches in the dining room. He placed a dimmer on one switch and on the second he changed it out to two switches. One for the chandelier and one for the two wall sconces. This exceeded my expectations for the room. He wrapped up the day by installing a new bar light fixture of the vanity. TJ is a thoughtful and talented electrician. I'm more than pleased with the work performed and would recommend Fairway Electric."

"The purchase process took several months as I took the opportunity to educate myself about the current technologies. Tri-City, via Synergy in Ballantyne, was extremely helpful and provided a no-pressure experience. I spoke to several vendors and received quotes from five. All of the quotes were higher than my final cost. The installation process was not painless as there were some issues with equipment failure. However, the vendor did their level best to minimize the impact upon me and made everything right without complaint."

"It went great! Both times it went great! 13 years ago and this year the liner prep and installation was perfect. It started with a precision measuring of the liner to ensure it fit perfect. Then they prepped the pool including removing large tree roots, and placed the liner. They gave me easy instructions on how high to fill the pool with water and then to call. I did and he was right back over doing the cut-in for stairs and skimmer at different water heights. All went just as he said and we are happy, happy, happy with the professionalism, accuracy, honesty, and promptness. I would recommend A's Pool Service to anyone. They are straight from the hip and you can trust that you are getting what you need, nothing more, and at a great price.

"As always, Noel is great and professional. He installed timers and lights that needed replacing. One of my biggest jobs was the installation of the blinds over the landing of my staircase where the ceiling is very high. I'm very pleased with his work and the time and care that he took to make sure that everything was secure. He did a great job painting my third bedroom. Once again, Noel gets an A+ review from me. I will definitely use him again."

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.

A home sauna may be considered a luxury item by some homebuyers, which can provide a good return on investment. However, whether it increases your home's value ultimately depends on the buyer, as some may not want to take on the extra costs and maintenance associated with heating and upkeep.
