He kept canceling & rescheduling. Never could get him to show up to do the work.

I provided him with a replacement toilet flap/flush valve assembly - the part in the toilet that opens and closes the flushing mechanism. It took him more than 2 hours to do it. And after he left I realized that he had never replaced the flush valve. He actually took the replacement flush valve assembly ( that costs may be 10 $) with himself. The old valve was still in place inthe toilet. And whatever he did in the toilet did not work. It was leaking again, and I had to get a Plumber to fix the problem, and spent another 100 $ there.

It was a horrible experience. He got here to look at the needs I had and we scheduled the service. He did not show up for the appointment. We did reschedule, but again he did not show up. Angie?s List connected with him and he said he had an accident and that he would reschedule. I called him a few times, but I never received a call back for scheduling.

I had to wait a long time since the company had several customers ahead of me, but everything went well aside from that. The handyman was very friendly and open, did a great job, and didn't leave behind any messes while he worked.

We had set up an appointment and he never showed up. It went back and forth several times and he has yet to show up and get the work done. This had gone on for about a year and he never did come out.

It was great. He hung some very difficult artwork for us. He has a background in art, so he knew how to hang pictures well. He did everything extremely well and within the time.

"Seems some of the review is a little mis-leading. I pressure washed, sanded and then I sprayed a deck with stain. The customer ran out of stain leaving the stairs not stained. Due to weather etc and the time of year we had to wait to return to finish which the customer does NOT state. I did come back and finish the stairs that were not stained. It was in the spring .Then the customer stated she wanted wanted the deck stained again !!!!!!!! I did try to stain another area but it just looked the same I told the customer this so staining again would not have made the deck look different. I did have an employee who put in drywall in an outside shed and insulation. The drywall was not correct on to the studs. The insulation was back to front. That job was 6 hours so I'm not sure where the $1100 comes from ??? There were 2 of us working for a day and I only charged for one person. All materials could be re-used e.g drywall and insulation. We did play phone tag for a while and the weather again did not help me. But to stain the whole deck again why ??? I also built steps to the shed at the customers request. No mention of this job. The employee no longer works for me and Yes I should have checked. My fault on that job. Its so easy to leave a negative review for anyone and leave out a few facts. However I do need to improve my communication and have someone who schedules my work now."

Susan got back with me right away as I had left a message saying we were hoping against hope we could get the work done in the next 3 weeks. She was going to get us in 3 weeks which we really appreciated it, but she called us when there was an opening that came up as she knew it was important to us.. Noel called before he came at the appointed time to let us know he was on the way. He did an excellent job on staining the deck/rails and replacing the rotted wood, paying attention to the littlest details. It was a pleasure doing business with "The English Handyman" not just for the great work he did, but because he was also a great person to having working for you.

He came on time, worked hard, and I was pleased with his work. though a friend has offered to redo part of the wooden panel on the lower part of the screened door, as the top edge was left roughly cut. This will make me happier with the details of that repair. I will call the English Handyman again if I have need of his services.

I had him clean and seal the grout in one bathroom. He did not do anything in the second bathroom. I paid for three hours of service and he only spent about an hour on the one bathroom.

Noel was very professional and, on top of that, made the work fun, too. He came out multiple times to complete the work, and it was always easy to get in touch with him. We're already talking about what the next task list might involve. I'd definitely hire Noel again.

Never showed for an 8:30 am appointment on March 14, 2014 and never called. I followed up with a phone call around 10:30, left a message asking for a call back - nothing. Sent an email mid afternoon, and haven't heard back.
