"Vince and his crew are fantastic.  They always showed up as scheduled, kept me informed on every step of the process (especially when weather delayed activities like exterior painting), and they were exceptionally flexible with all my requests and explaining the best way to tackle the repairs.  My list of items was HUGE, and they were able to tackle all of it and did a perfect job for a very reasonable price.  They even worked with the structural engineer to make sure the roof trusses were repaired as needed.  There is no substitute!"

"I have used them twice for roof repairs. Super fast response. Good Quality work, fair price. Made repairs for much less than other roofers that gave a price without ever getting on the roof!"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

You’re going to need a permit for nearly every roof-raising project. This is a very important step, as the work you’re doing has serious safety considerations. Professionals are the ones to handle this type of work—including sourcing the permits—as they have the expertise required to perform the work safely. Insurance and warranty are usually voided if you do this work without a permit, and you may even be required to halt construction and tear it down as a penalty for working without a building permit.

Roofing estimates and inspections are not the same thing. Roofing inspections (whether done with a drone or by the traditional method) help you find any damage or defects on a roof. You will pay a set fee for a roofing inspection and use it to get certification or to determine whether repair or replacement is necessary. Beware of unsolicited contractors coming to your home and offering a so-called free roof inspection—these are often scams.

Roofing estimates, on the other hand, are typically free and offered by a roofing company hoping to earn your business. Some roofing estimates are performed with drones, while other companies will still opt to send people up onto the roof. Either way, the estimate is for roof repair or replacement costs the company wants you to hire them for.

Shingle damage comes in many forms, and the damage usually depends on the wind speed and the shape of the roof before the winds. Typically, when shingles are damaged by wind, they become torn, creased, or detached from the roof. Some might go missing entirely. More extensive roof damage might occur if a tree branch or other debris has fallen onto the roof as a result of the windstorm.

Costs vary by repair scope, materials needed, and labor, with average repairs ranging from $300 to $1,000, contingent on roof size.

Yes, capped chimneys should still be vented. Failing to vent a chimney will result in condensation buildup inside the chimney, which commonly results in mold growth. If mold begins to grow in a chimney, it frequently goes undetected and spreads quickly through the home. Mold and moisture can damage the structural integrity of your home, and exposure to mold can cause discomfort and illness in residents.
