"Our home, built in 2002 had oak floors throughout the bottom floor done in a 'golden' coloring. We found this to be very old fashioned and traditional and would suit most homeowners just fine but we wanted to update the look of the home to a very contemporary/modern look. We wanted black flooring. After speaking with multiple contractors, we were told that the level of darkness we were looking to achieve would not be possible without either replacing the floor with a manufactured product or by using a special stain (which most did not/would not use) combined with a dye (all of which said they did not/would not use).
All except for Larry Helms. He was the only contractor I could find in the area who had experience in the use of dyes. However the price was steeper than other contractors. Thus we hired another company to do our master bedroom upstairs as a trial run. They did not have access to either the special stain or the dye and indeed they failed to achieve the look we were after. Thus I hired Larry to do the downstairs and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.
I would say that if you are looking for a complicated or non-traditional job, Larry Helms is the person to speak to and I'm sure the run of the mill jobs will be no challenge at all for his talent.

"Alfredo was very professional and polite. He explained everything that needed to be done and how he was going to do it. He made sure he had all the materials and your approval of the choices before given an estimate and starting the job. He cleaned up after he was done with the job. He made sure you were completely pleased with the work and if not he immediately made any corrections even after he had cleaned up his equipment. Customer satisfaction is number one to him and it showed with all he did. I was highly pleased with Alfredo and the work he did. I would highly recommend and also reuse Jehova Jireh for all my flooring needs. Great job, well done!"

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Ultimately, it’s a matter of personal preference. However, as a rule of thumb, lighter-colored carpets and walls will open up a room and often make it feel larger than it really is. On the other hand, darker shades tend to shrink a space, making it feel cozier. By mixing and matching light and dark colors, you can add dimension to the room.

When it comes to linoleum versus laminate, the better choice depends on your personal needs. Linoleum tends to last longer but is more difficult to install. Laminate is less eco-friendly and less durable, but it is easy to install without a professional.

Both options come in a wide variety of styles, but many prefer the look of laminate. Laminate and linoleum are affordable flooring options compared to hardwood or tile, but laminate costs less at about $0.70 to $2 per square foot.

Berber is a loop pile carpet known for its strength, durability, and distinct looped look. It can be made from a number of different carpet materials, including nylon and wool. However, Berber isn’t as soft as cut pile carpet, so it isn’t the best carpet for a bedroom (although it’s a good style of carpet for living rooms).

With that said, if you really like the look of Berber, you can still install it in your bedroom—it just might not be as comfortable on your feet as cut pile carpeting.

Laminate flooring is susceptible to expansion and contraction during temperature fluctuations. In the summer, laminate flooring is more likely to expand, possibly giving it a crowned or warped look. In the winter, when temperatures fall, the flooring can contract, revealing gaps between the boards. This is normal and should be expected when you install laminate flooring.

Not all attic floors are created equal—size, layout, and square footage often vary. The amount of weight an attic floor can hold depends on several factors including the joist size and position, any structural supports or subfloors, and the original intent of the attic design. Without structural reinforcement, your floor might only be able to support about 10 pounds per square foot of floor load before collapsing.
