There was one small problem with the walls due to the ceiling and walls not being plumb however they did go above and beyond by doing more than was was agreed upon by making plumbing improvements, installing a new lighted medicine cabinet and repairing a light fixture. "From the beginning of the project, Corky and his team, Paul, Don, and Cosmo, were absolutely professional, confident of their abilities, and had a wonderful "can do" spirit.   They started the day after Labor Day 2012, and for about three months, demolished then rebuilt our 1200 square foot condo into a wonderful updated space.  They removed two kitchen walls from the tiny, isolated kitchen and turned the space into a large, light- filled living and eating area.  Paul is an artist at creating trim work, and did a gorgeous job of trimming out the top of the kitchen cabinets so that they appeared seamless with the ceiling.  He also made custom trim to  go around all windows and created panels to finish off one side of the kitchen peninsula.  Don installed the beautiful acacia flooring with a real eye for detail.  He's a perfectionist for sure.  Cosmo, who does absolutely everything, installed the porcelain tile in the bathrooms.  All baths were refitted with new large showers stalls, new vanities and sinks, and new toilets.  One of the best things about the entire remodel was the removal of the ugly popcorn ceilings and the huge ugly ceiling bulkheads that contained a lot of very inefficiently installed ductwork.  With the help of Clint, Corky's HVAC guy, the whole system of ductwork was redone so that it is practically hidden, and additional vents give much more even heating and air conditioning than before.  Because of the age of the condo, we were also required to get updated sprinklers, which Corky researched for us, and he was able to obtain a very reasonable price from the sprinkler guy.  All the subs that Corky used were excellent and very professional.
     All in all, this was a much easier project than I thought it would be, thanks to our wonderful contractor and his superb team.  We were thinking that since we were going to be doing this project from our home in Raleigh, it would be a major headache, but it ended up being much more of a pleasure than a headache, and I heartily recommend Advantage Construction Company.
