Hughes Masonry did an amazing job on my back deck. I had a 5 foot wide brick "smoker porch" that barely fit anyone. Hughes was able to redo the porch into a 13 foot beautiful deck in the pics. This new porch was the porch I envisioned when I bought the house and we love it. Mr. Hughes takes so much pride in his work, that he fixed more of the old brick patio that was agreed upon. He replaced the brickwork under the upstairs balcony next to the side door to make the look consistent. The work was incredible and the price was good. I would definitely use them again. I highly recommend Hughes Masonry!

Billy came by to do an estimate at the time he said, promptly got us an estimate, and completed the work the day after we signed a contract. The work performed is excellent and everything was cleaned up well. Happy customer. We will have him back to do work on our brick patio in the future.

As with the other reviews, the final work is fantastic and that's the most important element. Billy and his crew were friendly and very professional. He didn't always come when he said he would, but I think that's true with a lot of small contractors. Overall, we are very happy with the work and plan to hire him again for our next project.

I hired Billy to repair some cracks in the brick facade of my house, He did excellent work; the brick and mortar matched and the job looked seamless. The GC said that he would recommend Billy to do the ceramic tile on the bathroom floors, too, so I asked him for an estimate; the amount seemed reasonable so I agreed. That was in early to mid April. His men came and tore out the existing floor. Replacement of the existing tub and vanities required coordination between the mason and the plumber. My original date to move was April 25, but I had to reschedule because Billy had still not replaced the tile floor. My final move date was Tues, April 30. By the Friday before, Billy had still not shown up to do the work. I told the GC that if I had to stay in a motel because there were no functional bathrooms, the amount was coming out of Billy's check. That roused Billy enough that he had his guy put down tile, and he came out on the Sunday before and put in grout in the area where the toilets were to go so that the toilets could be placed.
He says he is overbooked, and apologized. He finally got all the grout in, coming again on a Sunday afternoon after not showing up all week. There is still ceramic baseboard to be placed. He came this morning, looked at the bathrooms, said he had to go get his guys started on another job, and vanished for the rest of the day. This has been dragging on for over a month now.
I had planned to have him build me a brick back step, but as soon as he finishes the baseboard, I'm done with him.
