"Carlos and Brothers replaced five windows for us. Because we live in an older home, it was necessary for them to custom-fit each of the windows, replacing and sizing most of the frames and sills. Given location of the windows, they also installed flashing under the windows, which rest on our sunroom roof. Their work was excellent! The windows, including painting and sealing surrounding surfaces, are lovely. Communication was prompt and clear throughout the duration of the work, the final cost was far lower than other estimates we received, and Carlos and his partners were pleasant, considerate of our needs, and tolerant of our yappy dog. I would hire them in a heartbeat to do other work on our house."

"I'm not sure why this company is called Bautista "Brothers", since Hugo (owner) and his family do much of the work.  I didn't meet any "Brothers", but I did meet a lot of family... and they were all terrific.
When I unexpectedly found the property to be in need of extensive repairs, my biggest concerns were whether I could I find someone available to start the job quickly and complete it on a tight schedule.  When I met with Hugo to have him quote the job, he was very up-front about his availability (limited for the next 2 weeks), but promised to work me in and complete the job on a 3 week timeline.  His price was competitive (I bid 3 contractors and he was in the middle on price but offered the best schedule) and previous reviews here on Angie's List gave me some additional confidence that he would deliver as promised on quality and schedule.
At start time on day 1 I got a call from Hugo.  He was still picking up supplies and would be over shortly.  When was the last time a contractor called you to say they'd be 15 minutes late?  I was impressed.  Hugo kept to his promise on schedule, completing the job with an all-hands push at the end of week 3.  We met a few surprises along the way (wasn't expecting to have to replace 4 skylights and the sliding glass door.), but we managed to keep the schedule and the quality of the work was very good.
The finished project invoice matched the quote, with a few exceptions for the unexpected surprises we found along the way.  I was satisfied with the price, schedule and quality and thought the additional costs to handle the extra unexpected work were fair and consistent with the prices already quoted.  Writing this review about 6 weeks after the project was completed, I feel that the work was handled professionally and as a customer I was dealt with honestly.
The total project cost was well over $10,000 when you include materials that I picked up myself for the contractor to install.
I would recommend Bautista " Family" Builders and plan to work with them in the future when this property needs repairs I can't handle myself.

"We replaced the windows in our 1933 home through the services of MadCity Windows. From the initial contact with their sales representative to final installation, the company provided top notch professional work. With the draft from the old windows and the cold of the glass, we are already saving on our energy bills. Our house had old, large windows, so they had to be custom made. As an industrial designer and interior designer, we find our windows to be of excellent quality."

Small jobs welcome

"When asked about not only the mechanical repairs to the door, did he want to help out with painting, he did not seem that interested to take on that work.  He recommended that we use a painting company.

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

You can clean the oven window the same way you clean the oven walls. Make a paste of baking soda and water and let it sit on the window overnight before wiping it off with a damp cloth. You might find it helpful to rub the baking soda paste in with an old toothbrush.

You can add glass to your existing kitchen cabinet doors with a few tools and some patience. We recommend following the DIY steps listed above, which include cutting a panel for the glass, cutting and adding the glass, and reattaching your cabinetry. If these steps seem too complicated or you’d rather have the peace of mind of a professional installation, hire a cabinet installation pro to handle this project for you.

You should avoid multi-surface cleaners, bleach, and any cloth or scrubbing material that has a rough surface when cleaning mirrors. Multi-surface cleaners and bleach will get smudges and debris off of the glass, but they more often leave behind cleaner residue because they don’t evaporate like a glass cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Additionally, any abrasive material or even the scrubbing side of a sponge can scratch your glass or coatings on the glass, gradually making the mirror look hazy.

In terms of initial material and installation, glass stair railings are costlier than railings made from materials like wood, metal, or cable. Whether they are worth the investment often comes down to personal preference. Glass railings can offer a high return on investment, both in monetary value when it's time to sell and in the bold styling and functionality they add to a home. They provide a high level of safety, see-through functionality, and a unique appearance that other materials cannot replicate. From a maintenance perspective, glass railings require little to stay in working order but do need frequent cleaning to look their best.

Yes, many professionals provide custom-cut glass replacements for enclosures that require precise sizing.
