Customers say: Super punctual

"Hired them for a major yard transformation. They removed 3 major oak trees, several large cedars, and countless brush, bushes, & ivy. This crew works extremely hard, efficient, and very well skilled. The crane operator and bobcat drivers are very talented with their maneuvers and make quick work of seemingly dicey tasks. All of the crew very nice and left us a clean yard. Great value. Wouldn't go to anyone else for a similar job"

"Engineer Walter Cardona & his team removing big trees is fascinating to watch. He knows exactly where each piece will arrive on the ground. The Cardona team brought 2 large pines down between houses without a worry. In addition 3 birch with branches overhanging a busy street were cleaned up, plus 3 large stumps were ground all in less than 90 minutes; the yard was raked clean! Cardona's Tree Service was far & away the best service & price from multiple quotes. Whatever your requirements, Cardona has the experienced team, the appropriate equipment needed, safety protocol, and fair pricing. "Way to go, guys! Thank you!""

"Oscar's Tree Service provided a very competitive quote. They were able to work my job into a very tight timeframe and did excellent work. They avoided nearby landscaping when removing the tree and left the yard as clean as when they started. I would highly recommend them!"

"I could not recommend this company enough!! I will definitely hire them again for future work. They were extremely reasonable, very punctual and effective, and overall did a great job. They cut down two of my trees and were extremely professional and clean. I was expecting a little bit of a mess, but they did an outstanding job with making everything look presentable and nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

"They arrived on time with a full crew and all of the necessary equipment. They removed 7 trees with stump grinding as well as pruned other areas. This is the second time I have used them. Excellent service both times."

"These guys were great! They did good work and cleaned up everything after the job was done. I added some trees I wanted cut down the day of the job and they had no issue taking on the extra work. They even took down 2 trees for my neighbors on day 2 when they came back to clean up! I would recommend them to anyone."

Small jobs welcome

"CJ and Ben did a great job. They got to my house on time; in fact they were early. Two of the rooms had badly stained carpets. I was very pleased with the amount of stains they were able to remove from the floor. I highly recommend them."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, most of the time you’re out of luck if a neighbor’s tree blocks your view. You don’t have a right to a view, so if you have a tree that’s near the property line but on your neighbor’s property, you can’t cut it to be able to take in a majestic mountain or a beautiful sunrise. In some communities, however, there are ordinances protecting scenic views. Checking into your local laws can help you determine your rights in this situation.

Although it’s possible, heavy machinery like a crane is necessary for removing an entire tree stump and all. This procedure is extremely costly, time-consuming, and usually unnecessary, as there are plenty of convenient and affordable stump removal options.

Your best bet, if you want to be sure to remove a tree and its stump efficiently, is to speak with a professional. They’ll be able to walk you through the entire process.

There are several signs that may indicate a tree needs to be cut down. These include visible damage to the trunk or branches, a hollow trunk, extensive storm damage, or a significant lean to one side. Other warning signs are pest infestations or the tree growing too close to a house, power lines, or other structures. It is best to hire a professional arborist to inspect the tree, as they can determine if it can be saved or if removal is necessary.

It depends on where you live—but in most areas, leaves begin falling in September and continue falling until January or February. Warmer regions, such as Southern states, may see leaves fall a bit later in the calendar year. It also depends on the type of trees in your yard and their maturity.

You may be looking to identify maple trees to use for home improvement projects. In that case, you can tell hard maples by looking at their leaves. Leaves will have a U-shaped dip, or sinus, between the points, or lobes, of the leaves. Leaves of soft maples tend to have V-shaped sinuses.

If you already have the cut wood in front of you, look for a light, uniform color to identify hard maple wood and check for variations of red, gray, or brown streaks and an overall darker color in soft maple wood.
