"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. 2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Our present Installation services include a full staff of talented and qualified designers for both residential and commercial applications. With three separate divisions of our installation department, this insures that our customer's receive the finest Comfort Systems by professionals, specializing in that certain application. See website for additional information.

"Although the staff are all friendly and responsive, we have had continual problems with our gas furnace every winter since the original installation in 2019 when the temperature drops below 30. The first year, nothing was done since the furnace began to work when the temperature increased. The 2nd year, they said the thermostat was bad and replaced it, charging us for the labor to replace it. I paid this invoice believing the problem was solved. The 3rd year, the technician said that the exhaust ductwork was sloped toward the furnace causing the condensation to back up and shut down the furnace. I was invoiced a significant amount but I declined to pay since it was an installation mistake that should have been corrected earlier. After 4 years of trying to correct the problem, they are now refusing to correct the (continuing) problem and we were again without heat in the morning. I did an internet search to see if anybody else had this problem and found it was a common problem with gas furnaces installed in an attic. All that was required was to insulate the condensate drain outside. I purchased a $4 piece of insulation and installed it myself. We have had no problem since. Seems like a "professional" HVAC company should have known this type of problem and not corrected it earlier. It's sad that a company does not take pride in providing a professional quality service nor correct problems caused by a defective installation."

Specializing in appliance service! We always guarantee your satisfaction and won’t leave until the job is done right. "I called for repair service (not under warranty) because my LG refrigerator was no longer cooling. Was able to get an appointment quickly and the woman who answered the phone was so nice. I was told that I would receive a call when the tech was on the way - I did not but I was able to follow on the map which was a great tool. Tech came in, put their tool bag down, opened my refrigerator and said "Thats not good." Asked if we heard some kind of ticking - which we did not. Never touched a single tool or looked at anything else . Then he decided I needed to replace the compressor and we received an estimate for approximately $1400. He then let me know about the options they had on-site that I could replace mine with. I was under the impression that there would be a more thorough diagnostic and as I see from your previous responses to other reviews, that is what I should have had. I understand that the techs are experts in their field but I expect more from a diagnostic than opening the door. After my appointment I got a little nervous and called the business to ask questions as I wasn't confident with the way the visit went. Was told the supervisor was on the phone and he would call back. Now it's Thursday, almost a week later and I never heard back so I called again today. Told the woman who answered that I was waiting on a call back and she said there were no notes in the system so just wanted to know what was going on. I let her know and asked her what a diagnostic should have consisted of and told her my concerns. She put me on hold and was going to get the supervisor on the phone. Instead, she got back on and let me know that the supervisor said that the tech is an expert so he just knew it was the issue without doing anything else (along those lines, not verbatim). How confident should I be in the service I received, especially when that is a supervisors response? And honestly I thought it might be the compressor myself before I called because that seems to be an issue but I called your business so that I could be sure it was the issue and because you would do a diagnostic to confirm. I didn't pay so someone could tell me my refrigerator wasn't cooling. I already knew that. Would you be confident if you pulled into a car repair shop because your car was acting up and they looked at it and told you the engine needed to be replaced without looking at anything?"

"Beware Bald Head Island owners... Ordered a Speed Queen Washer and Dryer to be delivered to the Bald Head Island Warehouse for delivery by barge to the island. Received a call from the warehouse today that the appliances were delivered unpackaged and they are concerned about potential damage in transit via the barge... When I called Atlantic Appliance, I asked why they did not wrap them in some sort of protective packaging for the transport after they were inspected in the Atlantic Appliance warehouse. Their reply was, "What do you want us to do? They are no longer our responsibility. They have been delivered." Disappointed in their service and lack of concern. "I ordered a storm door through Lowes in Jacksonville, NC on Western Blvd. They sent out someone to do the measurements, the guy was unprofessional and seemed to be bothered that he had to measure the door. I went back to the store to select the storm door. I ordered the door and paid for it on the spot. I was told that I would be contacted when the door arrived and schedule a date for installation. The door arrived at the store and we set the install date for 8 Dec 2023 between the hours of 11 am and 2 pm. I took off from work to make myself available for the installation. After a few hours of sitting and waiting and not hearing anything, I called Lowes to get an ETA for the door installers. At that time I was told that the door ordered would not fit and there would not be an install done today. When asked why was I not notified promptly, Lowes said that Lou (Lowe's door department worker) should have notified me (he did not). I requested to speak with a manager and was connected to Chris (Asst. Manager) I explained the situation, and Chris was apologetic and assured me the situation would be rectified as the installer would contact me to fix the situation. I never received a call from the installer, but I did receive a call from Lou, who apologized, and passed the buck by saying the installer should have called and let me know (never happened). Three days have gone by and I still haven't received my door which I paid for 2 months ago, nor have I heard anything from Lowes or the contractor. Lowes has wasted my time, they still have my money, and no compensation for missing work. Do yourself a favor and get your door from a different company that won't waste your time and value you as a customer."

Leaks, poor drainage, failure to start, water not heating, and excessive noise frequently require service.

Preventive measures include keeping appliances clean, avoiding overuse, and storing them in suitable environments to prevent malfunction.

Costs depend on appliance age, issue complexity, part availability, and labor rates.

Practically, everything. However, steam ovens work best with delicate ingredients with high moisture levels, such as vegetables, eggs, porridge, and oatmeal. As long as your oven is big enough, you can also use steam ovens to cook meat, fish, pasta, and even pizzas. They are also a great option for reheating leftovers since they can retain the flavors.

Yes, dehumidifiers use a lot of electricity. However, proper humidity also means your home’s temperature remains more stable, thus lowering heating and air conditioning bills. The good news is you shouldn’t need to use a dehumidifier more than a few months per year, so the energy costs won’t be as noticeable as other larger appliances.
