I was charged $10,000 for a system I found out should have only costed NO MORE THAN $5000!!!!! Elite Water Systems is a SCAM... and the sales reps LIE!!! They are not the only Puronics dealer in our area... as we were told... They also do not include FREE maintenance as we was told! Also that lifetime soap is NOT lifetime... it's just a sample for a year. It didn't last a year... nor did i work well... our cloths smelled like mildew. The shopping money saving thing... is SO MUCH WORK!!! It's not worth it!!! We got the system in march, it is now February and I called them to see when they wanted to schedule the maintenance. Also, we currently have a leak that needs to be fixed. My husband fixed it the first time... but since this keeps happening... It needs to be fixed once and for all. They transferred me to services... I found out that they subcontract the sells guys, and sub out the service work and it's $400!!!! for yearly maintenance that the sales rep told my husband and I would be included for free!!! We paid $10,000!!! for this system... I know it was expensive... but we thought we were getting lifetime free service like the guy said! It was our stupidity for not making sure it was written somewhere in the mountain of paperwork. I found out that the guy that sold it to us... named James... is no longer with the company... The company didn't apologize of even offer to pay for the first year maintenance for all this mess!!! THE LEASE they could do!!! after charging us DOUBLE what the system is worth! Also, They only give 1 year install warranty... other company's like Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is LIFETIME!!! Why? Because They do the work themselves... not sub contract out so they can just wash their hands of you after they get their money. I looked up the dealers in my area from the actual puronics website... there IS ANOTHER DEALER!!! AND CLOSER!!! Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. The owner was apologetic and it wasn't the first time he had heard of this. He was professional and didn't bad mouth the company... but he said this isn't unheard of. He said "I hope you didn't pay more than $5000." I almost cried... I said "sir... I paid $10,000 holding back tears. Elite Water Systems is a TOTAL SCAM!!!! Also... with yearly maintenance, I "had!" to pay their! service people to keep my lifetime warranty with Puronic valid, according to Elite Water Systems CONTRACTED service providers. They sale you the product and then wash their hands of you... DON'T DO IT! THAT WAS A LIE TOO... SO NOT TRUE! Any puronics dealer can service the system and keep the warranty valid. I have messaged Puronics on the SCAM ARTIST Elite Water Systems... and Told them such a company gives puronics a bad reputation. They said they would call me. Also... I was told that my system couldn't be serviced until the 16th... Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is coming out tomorrow!!!! I wish I would had contacted them first! I hate myself... for being so trusting.... you think you spend that much... it must be true. :( Benjamin Franklin Plumbing has excellent, NON CONTRACTED REAL EMPLOYEES, and better Customer service... I will do a review on them after I have used them for a while... which is what I'm doing. Forget Elite Water Systems... and their OVER PRICED systems... with worse service! Go to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing... don't get scammed... don't take my word for it... call for yourself and compare the two for yourself! I don't want to see another person be scammed like we were!!! I'm literally sick to my stomach of this! If there is not dealer in your area... except Elite Water Systems... WAIT... Don't give that scam company ANY of your money!!!

Very well. Ray arrived 45 mins early, which was a good start. He was courteous and friendly as he worked hard to find the source of my water leak. Ray explained what he was doing as he was doing it, which I found very helpful, and trust inspiring. Ray found the leak, fixed it, explained how he knew that he found the source and that it was repaired. Ray represents Elite Water Systems very well, and I would hire him again if needed.

This company had three people canvassing our neighborhood posing as our city water office. They had small plastic bottles and a badge hanging from their neck like our city might have. They claimed that they had gotten reports from neighbors that the water was not good and asked if they could take a sample. after getting the sample the asked her for her number and said they would call back with the results. I called the city and found they had no one doing test. The next day we had several calls from Elite Water Systems and the first call they were told we were satisfied with our water and to take our number off the list. They of course didn't take the number off and are very persistent in getting into our home to do their sales pitch. Be very careful with giving them your numbers.

Again, if this is the company's normal operating procedures regarding marketing, why would anyone do business with them. They obviously have no respect for anyone's privacy or do they understand "ethical business practices."
Description of Work: This company has been making calls to our home over the past several years. Informing them after the first call that we had no interest in a water system, they have continued to call. Finally, we made up our mind in 2017 that we would report them to the Attorney General's office. Even after the President of the company wrote the Attorney General's office that they would no longer contact us, they called again within two months. Obviously, they have no respect for ones privacy and enjoyment of their home, so why would they have respect for you as a customer.

I received a cold call sales call from this company. The caller asked me several questions about the water quality at my home and I responded to all of those questions. While I don't have any interest in water filtering from this company, I tried to be polite. The caller then asked me if I was "working or retired"; which seemed to be a bit off topic. I told the caller that I was not interested in answering any additional questions, but "thanks for calling", after which I hung up. To my surprise, the same sales person called right back and simply resumed asking her questions, as if we had never been disconnected. She again asked me if I was "working or retired", and I again stated that I had no interest in their products or services and to please take me off of their call list. And again, I hung up. The next thing that occurred is where this company really crossed the line... The same sales person called me AGAIN, resuming the same questions. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The caller ignored my request and continued asking her questions. I asked to speak with a supervisor again and was again ignored. Only after my fourth request to speak with a supervisor did the caller simply state "Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your day." This was without a doubt the rudest sales call that I have ever received. This company needs to perform an analysis of their sales tactics.
Description of Work: Cold call received; no services provided.

They called our house repeatedly, never leaving a message but calling at least once a day. I decided to answer just to get rid of them and participated in a very short water quality survey. I was told that as a "thank you" for my time I would be entered in a drawing for prizes. About a week later I received a follow up call informing me that I had "won" a prize consisting of a coupon book that would "save me over $1000" with discounts at local restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Catch was that I needed to schedule an appointment for delivery of said coupons and that they would perform a complimentary water test at that time. I should note that any reasonable person could not have possibly concluded that I needed or wanted my water tested based on my answers for the survey. I declined the appointment, but representative did not take no as an answer well. She eventually hung up, but made no arrangements to deliver the prize that I had supposedly already won. Upon further research, it became apparent that this company uses these tactics: circumventing the DNC registry by surveying not selling in initial phone call, follow up call to "award" a prize, etc., to worm their way into homes - where they perform water tests and then try to sell expensive water systems based on "bad findings." For further details about that, read reviews filed with the BBB. This could be a legit business with a legit product, but their marketing techniques are so shady that I would never engage their services to find out.
Description of Work: Nothing for me. Their marketing tactics circumvented the protection afforded by the Do Not Call Registry and were manipulative and deceiving. Further research showed that this is a common approach by them, and that the results of their water testing have been called in to question by several consumers.

Received an unsolicited letter in the mail after purchasing a new home. The envelope was hand-written, but had no return address. Inside was a printed card that read: "Welcome Neighbors. ?We have been unable to contact you by phone. Please contact us within seven (7) days. We have a parcel for you." I contacted the local 919 area code phone number and asked for ?Kate Jones? like the card instructed. A man answered the phone who identified himself as the assistant to Kate Jones. After inquiring about the ?parcel? the man explained they were a local company that helps welcome new homeowners to the neighborhood with ?welcome gifts? and asked for the parcel number. After the man looked up the parcel number, he explained that the company was Elite Water Systems of Jacksonville and that our our ?parcel? was a host of discount coupons worth hundreds that would be delivered by someone while they performed a free water analysis at our home. Politely, but firmly, I notified the man that while they may provide an excellent service, we weren't interested, and we really didn't appreciate being targeted for such a disingenuous marketing ploy, asked to be removed from their contact list, and said we wouldn't do business with them. There was a consumer alert article about this same tactic, written a year ago, still on the internet. Elite Water Systems may be a perfectly excellent company - but if they are, they need to halt such shady, deceptive marketing games, and stand on their work.
Description of Work: Was offered free water analysis as a part of an unsolicited, disingenuous solicitation.

They called me as a new homeowner, I agreed to have a water tech came to my house to perform several demos of my city water vs their filtered/softened water. Their results showed I had extremely hard water and very high levels of chlorine. The demos were so convincing I was almost ready to sign up right then for a monthly payment plan on this supposed high-end water system (almost $10k!). Luckily I did some research after they left, and online found units that do essentially the same thing for 1/4 the cost elsewhere. Then I had an independent company test my water, and they found I have SOFT water, and very little chlorine. So not sure why the discrepancy. Just be careful of spenting too much with this company on a whole house water treatment system.
Description of Work: In home water analysis and demos of my water vs theirs. I did not buy their system.

They were very pushy. They were very expensive. They contacted us with repeated postcards after we moved in here. The postcards seemed to suggest that they were part of a homeowner's association or something along the lines of a welcome wagon. When in fact, they wanted to come out and give an in-home sales pitch that took three plus hours of our time. They pushed us to sign up for a $10,000 water treatment system right then and there. We refused to sign up at that time.
Description of Work: Elite Water Systems offered me a water treatment system.
