I called for repair service (not under warranty) because my LG refrigerator was no longer cooling. Was able to get an appointment quickly and the woman who answered the phone was so nice. I was told that I would receive a call when the tech was on the way - I did not but I was able to follow on the map which was a great tool. Tech came in, put their tool bag down, opened my refrigerator and said "Thats not good." Asked if we heard some kind of ticking - which we did not. Never touched a single tool or looked at anything else . Then he decided I needed to replace the compressor and we received an estimate for approximately $1400. He then let me know about the options they had on-site that I could replace mine with. I was under the impression that there would be a more thorough diagnostic and as I see from your previous responses to other reviews, that is what I should have had. I understand that the techs are experts in their field but I expect more from a diagnostic than opening the door. After my appointment I got a little nervous and called the business to ask questions as I wasn't confident with the way the visit went. Was told the supervisor was on the phone and he would call back. Now it's Thursday, almost a week later and I never heard back so I called again today. Told the woman who answered that I was waiting on a call back and she said there were no notes in the system so just wanted to know what was going on. I let her know and asked her what a diagnostic should have consisted of and told her my concerns. She put me on hold and was going to get the supervisor on the phone. Instead, she got back on and let me know that the supervisor said that the tech is an expert so he just knew it was the issue without doing anything else (along those lines, not verbatim). How confident should I be in the service I received, especially when that is a supervisors response? And honestly I thought it might be the compressor myself before I called because that seems to be an issue but I called your business so that I could be sure it was the issue and because you would do a diagnostic to confirm. I didn't pay so someone could tell me my refrigerator wasn't cooling. I already knew that. Would you be confident if you pulled into a car repair shop because your car was acting up and they looked at it and told you the engine needed to be replaced without looking at anything?

I've had the same dryer for 8 years, and when it stopped working, I was afraid it was going to have to be replaced. Fortunately, the guy from Bell's came out within 4 days, and was able to fix the problem (a broken belt) in about half an hour, for a very reasonable price. Will absolutely call them again if I need anything!

I was charged almost $300 to replace a $14 part in my LG dryer. I had already troubleshot the dryer on my own, eliminating possible issues. So the technician was ahead of the repair time already because of my pre-work. Bell's Appliance Servies uses a "blue book." I'm not sure if they created it or someone else. Because the dryer was manufactured by LG "foreign", the price to repair it was excessive. Even though any dryer manufactured in the U.S. (Generally, no makers can fully claim that the entire dryer is "Made in the USA"), they all contain tons of "foreign" parts. Bell's reasoning for adopting a "blue book" is to make the repair cost fair. IT DOES NOT. It just gave them justification to overcharge for a procedure that takes the same amount of time no matter what brand of the dryer is being repaired. Most people know that a dryer is simple. This unfair pricing strategy benefits some customers and not others and of course Bell's. If instead, they had accounted for the time it took for most technicians to complete the repair (less than an hour), I would definitely not have been PENALIZED for owning an LG. FYI - my LG is not a premium dryer. However, that's how it's designated by their blue book because it's "foreign." Be warned--this blanket pricing strategy and unscrupulous business model is on the rise. To make matters worse, they expected me to "buy in" to a pay-it-forward plan. Give us money now (enabling them to invest it), and then maybe you can stomach any future repair overcharges. Note: They gave me the opportunity to review them via Google. I did. Interestingly, it doesn't show up.

"Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. I do agree with you that the labor charge is expensive for a repair, if we could have done it any cheaper we would have. LG is considered a foreign brand due to it is produced in Korea. While we do appreciate any leg work you may have performed prior to our visit, our techncician still performs thorough diagnostics to confirm the failures of any machine. Thankfully he did have the part on his truck stock and was able to repair your unit same day after he provided you the quote for repairs. As we had discussed, the labor rate is similiar to when you have your car worked on, they go based off a flat rate for a repair, that being if one technician could potentionally perform the repair in half the time, while another performs the repair in double the amount of time. It is used to be sure that all customer's are charged accordingly and are not penalized for a techncian working slower."

The oven was not installed correctly. They refused to come back to install correctly until a supervisor was called. My hardwood floor and cabinetry was damaged during the install. They refused to repair the damage. I’n addition, the over did not work properly and they had to come repair it. It also took 3 months to get the trim piece that goes around the microwave.

Hasn't been replaced. The technician stopped by to look at it and asked for the copayment and then left. We thought it would get fixed but apparently the parts needed are on back order so the service hasn't been able to be completed. Not sure why the company is requesting a survey before completion but here you go.

Very well. The 2 times I have needed repair work done to the equipment in the home I rent, the work was done with efficiency and without delay. I was kept informed by the main office when the service tech would arrive, and true to their word, he would arrive at the appointed time. Excellent service from beginning to end.

The technician was on time and very professional. First, he came to my house to evaluate the problem. Parts were ordered and delivered to my house. Bell sent out the same technician one day after I notified them the parts had arrived. He arrived on time and corrected both my issues very quickly. Although I didn’t have to pay for this service because it was covered under warranty, I will call them for any needs I have in the future. I highly recommend Bell’s for any appliance needs.

Bell repaired freezer and seals due to issue of condensation in the freezer in September 2015. They charged $300. They were then called to repair seals in May 2016 and not to fix the ice maker. The company is not proactive, and did not provide full disclosure on the repair, therefore the non-repair of the ice maker caused build up in the lines, and 3 months later the freezer needs repair again. Bell's is charging an additional labor and service fee to turn OFF the water lines and again repair what was repaired 3 months ago. Would not recommend this company for ANY service. Labor and service fees are outrageous, and service provided is less than stellar.

Bell's Appliance was a joy to work with!  After trying to go through a big box department store for installation, only to encounter headaches and rescheduling, we tried Bell's Appliance and were beyond thrilled.  They were willing to install next day for us and were more than accommodating on time and days that worked best.  They were timely and did a great job.  We manage a rental from out of state and I will definitely be calling them again if we have any appliance trouble.  Their staff was courteous and friendly and the job was done so timely.  Shall I mention the price as well?  Hands down, the most reasonably priced in all the area!
