We were not sure how to repair the leak from this particular faucet and decided to hire a professional. Island Plumbing fit us in their schedule, technician was prompt and courteous, and pricing was very fair for the work done.

Jake and Charlie were extremely professional, yet they were so friendly. Charlie played with my Dogs when he was not assisting Jake and I think they wanted to go home with him! Especially Oliver Noodles. Jake is so smart and conscientious, yet professional and polite. It's obvious he's a Pro and I was so impressed with his work. Charlie did me a big favor by going under my house to check some work done by another plumber, to make sure the leak was correctly fixed, He didn't get paid to do this and he did not have to do this for free, yet he did and he was awesome about it. I felt reassured and knew the outcome was good after he checked for me to verify the previous work by someone else. However, I did not know if the work had been correctly done until Charlie checked. He did not charge me to do this. It was a very hot day and both he and Jake went out of their way to go the extra mile on just about everything....including the Dogs. I was very impressed and will definately be hiring them again. After getting ripped off for 300. by another company to fix a washing maching button, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll call Island Plumbing. Randy Guthrie was so good to my Mamma, he went out of his way to do things for her and she was like an extra son to him. If I was not there and If she called to say she had fallen, Randy came running right away. This is another reason I want to try to make Island Plumbing my number 1 Plumber. Some people are just special for special reasons like this. His wife is a wonderful person also. I am impressed and delighted that I have someone I can call, knowing they will go out of their way to do the best job possible (and be nice about it too) ! I will be calling them for all my Plumbing needs in the future. I am not saying this just because Randy was good to my Mamma, Randy didn't even come out here on this day. I am reporting on his awesome employees and company. They are Knowledgable about their Profession, Jake said he loved Plumbing ( and you can tell), Professional, Friendly, go the second-mile doing things they don't have to do, and affordable. They did not charge me "extra" because it was a Saturday job. I am so glad I called them.

There was no one to help Brian lift the hot water heater over the weekend so we had to wait until the first of the week to get the new one. He was helpful in trying to get the right kind of low boy hot water heater to replace the one we had. I purchased the hot water heater and had it delivered for $411.85. The cost of installation and service calls were $400.

The communication with Island Plumbing was great - which is half the battle when it comes to hiring contractors in our area. I called, they call back. It was amazing. My overall experience was fair. I asked for a quote on two different occasions prior to the job began. I never received that quote and had a bit of sticker shock when the invoice arrived. Also, it seemed as if the job took quite longer than it should have; possibly because of the two men, only one was experienced enough to do any actual work - the second, was primarily a tool provider (both extremely nice and respectful). The walls were to the studs and for the most part, the plumbing was easily accessible. A few of my instructions for the plumbers were not complete to my specifications - I blame that on not actually taking notes when surveying the job. i.e., I asked the plumber to sub the toilet plumbing above the floor so I can lay the flooring and place the flange in the appropriate space. Instead, I received a new flange with the existing plumbing well short of being flush with the subfloor. When I called to question this, I was told that "risers" would help with that problem. Maybe so, but not what was preferred by the customer. Also, the plumbers had to return to the job site in order to fix a small discrepancy but were prompt and easy to work with regarding the issue. The job went incomplete before sending an invoice. The plumbers were supposed to come back to hook up the faucet, toilet, shower accessories, etc...but after receiving the invoice half way through - I got the point and will finish the job myself.

Outstanding work. They addressed other issues that needed to be fixed so that I didn't have problems in the future. Jake and his partner performed the work and this should hold me over for quite a while.

This was a Sunday job -- I rented a dolly to remove the washer/dryer set for donation -- when attempting to remove the second hose, the knob twisted loose.  No leaks, but couldn't remove the appliance.  The gent came out within an hour and completed all work within two hours -- looks/works great.
