"Last fall I bought a house with a gas fireplace, and during the inspection it was noted the damper was blocked. The inspector thought that there was probably debris in the chimney causing the blockage. So I hired Absolute Clean to unblock and clean the chimney. "I noticed shingles missing off my roof and several storms came through this spring. I contacted three different roofing companies to give me an estimate on what needed repaired. The first two companies both tried to tell me I needed an entire roof replacement. I contacted ferguson roofing who told me the majority of the roof was still in good shape and only need a few hundred dollars of shingle replacements. After the estimate a date was given for the work and they showed up on time and completed the job. "Once again (my 4th time using this company), Stan and his crew came through to save the day. Late last week during heavy rain, I heard rain water dripping into my chimney, and it was coming out of the Electrical outlet next to our bed. I went out to see my old aluminum vent had been pulled up by the wind, and had exposed my chimney directly to the rain. I texted Stan the next morning, and within 4 hours his crew showed up, climbed up 3 stories, and cut the old vent off, and capped the chimney so no more water could get in. They were very professional, first, they checked all the bricks, and put extra mortar into several that needed it. Then they carefully sealed on a large piece of concrete board. "I called on Thursday, he gave estimate on Friday, started Monday and finished on Tuesday. Wow.
We have a fireplace in our family room that had a wood burning stove installed in it. We wanted to
restore it to a full fire place. The original opening was 42" wide X 42" high. We wanted it lowered
to 32" in order to accept a standard set of glass doors and so that we could lower the mantel and
install a flat panel TV above it.  The original damper for the fireplace had been removed and we need a new one
installed.
I had other contractors provide bids, and we had trouble finding someone that would do the work we wanted
in a timely manner. John came out, listened to what we wanted, inspected the fireplace, went on the roof and
inspected the chimmney,( the only one that did),  took measurements of everything, and gave a bid that was
competetive with everyone elses. He recommended we put in a steel damper versus a chimney cap type and explained
why and we decided to go with his recommendation. Note: that this is considerably more  labor intensive and expensive, but I'll never have to worry about climbing on my roof to fix a sticking damper and Johns price was less than some we recieved for just installing the cap.
John and his assistant were here with the new damper bright and early Monday morning. They were very polite and respectful. They needed to cut into the fire wall to properly install the new damper. When they did they discovered another wall of concrete brick behind it which wouldn't allow the  damper to fit in properly. John traveled quite some distance to find a damper that would fit in the confined space. He showed up the next morning with the new part installed it and finished the remaining work by that afternoon.
I very carefully inspected his work and found it flawless.
The true mark of any contractor is what they do when things don't go according to plan. John was outstanding.
He completed what he said he would, when he said he'd to it (original estimate was 1-2 days) and at the price he quoted.
He used nothing but the highest quality materials, was on time, dependable and trustworthy.
Don't let his quiet, humble demeanor mislead you John is a high skilled craftsman and a very dependable contractor.

"I can't praise this company enough!  We are selling our older home, and needed to have the brickwork on 2 chimney flus addressed (they were crumbling) prior to a new roof being installed.  The company spoke with the roofer, and understand the timing issue, had our work done in a week.  They did a really, really nice job -- we are so pleased.  Fully cleaned up dirt, etc. on our driveway and our neighbor's driveway prior to leaving.
