"Coffey's Lawncare came out to trim shrubs/bushes and will be removing a tree this year too. The crew did a great job trimming everything up so nicely and they cleaned up the yard afterwards. They worked quickly and efficiently, they were able to get out to trim our yard in a timely manner. The pricing is very fair and they are very professional. I would highly recommend Coffey's for any lawn service you need."

"Cityscapes is a excellent company to work with. We had a very labor intensive landscape job that need to be done in a part of our yard that had a wash out area. It was going to need several yards of dirt that had to be wheelbarrowed up a steep hill all done by hand, hill was to steep for machinery to be used. Also needed two skids of sod to be brought up the hill. Chris ( the owner) was there the whole time to make sure all went well. Give Chris a call 573-205-9324 for your landscaping work, you won't be disappointed."

Small jobs welcome

"UNBELIEVABLE...I hired this company to perform landscaping to three yards, my personal yard included. As a senior, disabled, homebound individual I requested that before/after pics be emailed to me bi weekly. NOPE! Enrroll, friendly as can be, was here to pick up payment yet when questioned about the pics, excuses included many, but mostly I sent them. NOPE! not received and nothing in spam, he should have rec an error msg or tripled check email address and had his partner Jerome, People Choice Landscaping, the landscaper finally email me a pic of the two yards only to discover they had been cutting the wrong lot and presented me duplicate pic of the multiplex yard and collected payments. I pulled my contractor off a job and requested he visit the lot to which he reported grass up to my knees and took pics. WTH, JD is NOT cheap and I had provided addresses that border the lot, no excuses accepted. Normally, I am noted for paying immediately, however, caution took a turn and tapped me on the shoulder whereby, I was on my 3 payment owning which made us equal for the yard they had not cut 5xs....needless to say, when confronted and advised we were even, all hell broke loose w/Jerome who advised to get someone else duh, u do not have to tell me once, I would think that this would have been their solution. BTW....had he not fired me, he had agreed a decrease his bi weekly fee....yeah, right! Needless, to say he finally submitted a pic of the RIGHT LOT that had an OVERDUE cutting. Luckily, I was not cited by the city. NOTE: This is not one of those redundant, synchronized reviews"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Armadillos are attracted to water, so a leaky irrigation system or an overwatered lawn can encourage them to move in. They especially like wet areas where they can burrow and loose soil where they can dig for grubs. They are also attracted to dense ground cover, where they can often find food sources.

Mulching leaves with a lawn mower is a great way to reap the benefits of leaf nutrients composting into your lawn without the leaves covering too much of your grass.

Always do a poop sweep before mowing your lawn. Running your mower over dog waste can be messy, unsanitary, and smelly, and it can spread the poop to other parts of your lawn. Plus, you won’t be able to get it out of the grass (or the mower blades) easily.

Removing leaves prevents mold growth and ensures grass gets sunlight and air circulation.

Yes, you can absolutely make your own mulch, and there are a few ways to go about it. First, you can lay down pine needles or mulched leaves if you’re mulching in the fall. In the spring and summer, you can use mulched grass clippings. Alternatively, you can lay down a few layers of newspaper in your garden and gently wet the paper to keep it in place.
