"John has been our go-to guy for several years now. We live in an early 70s home, and as with all older homes there are repairs that are needed fairly often. From the first time he worked for us, identifying that a leak originated from a roof vent that had been knocked slightly askew in a storm and rain water had gradually seeped down the pipes and terminated above our kitchen cabinets, he has always been prompt, courteous, professional in every way, and just an all around nice guy to work with. And the pricing has always been fair. Since then he has installed a number of appliances and fixed sundry leaks for us. Can't recommend him or his company enough. Give them a try."

"James was punctual, extremely fastidious, kept me informed of progress, did a beautiful job of re-glazing and re-caulking and cleaned up without any residual mess. He explained and gave me written instructions for care of the new surface. I will ask specifically for him when reglazing of another bathtub."

"The tech was friendly and got to work right away and the job looked pretty good when he left.
Unfortunately with the other bathroom remodeling I have not used the tub much.  I did spill some tile cleaner on it and it left permanent dots in the finish and I did scrape it with a piece of wood already which shows.  Time will tell how well the refinish will hold up.

"I started the process of re-doing my kitchen last May, and now I have an absolutely beautiful kitchen.  The designer worked with me to get just what I wanted for the kitchen.  She was honest and forthcoming, and listened to my needs.  She got me through all of the decisions (and there are a LOT of decisions) with patience!  After measuring, the designer turned us over to the project manager who must be the best ever found.  They knew just what needed to be done in what order to create the kitchen I have.  Work people came promptly, and when I expected them.   Everyone was polite and helpful, and performed their individual jobs with skill.  I never felt as though they forgot me, or were avoiding me.  The contractor was always a phone call away and he too was great.  He explained things (probably multiple times) and responded to my needs. I was impressed!  And, I am not an easy woman to impress.  I love the outcome -- it is even better than I envisioned it.  I just want to look at it.
You need to be prepared for a long process... I spent a lot of time getting multiple bids and multiple views of my needs, not only on the kitchen itself, but also the appliances.  This takes much more time than you would expect.  Then everything needs to be ordered, and your job scheduled.  They tore out my cabinets on November 17, and I had the last city inspection on February 9.  Of course, there were 3 holidays in there to mess up scheduling, but it is a long time to be without a kitchen!  They must do things in a specific order and so it takes a while.  But, the various subcontractors worked together and coordinated quite well.  I cannot think of anything that troubled me in the process.

"I had called a national plumbing chain to unclog our stopped up kitchen sink. Our cold water pressure was very poor and we asked why. We were told that the master pressure valve for the house was faulty and needed replacing. We had to make another appointment to fix. Made the appointment for the hours between 8 and 10 Am. After two calls and it was now 3 PM, I cancelled the appointment. I called Handyman. He was there the next day, researched and found a simple valve clogged beneathe the sink and repaired. He showed me the clogged valve and explained all. For a very minimal charge and a professional job well done, we now have cold water pressure and a man we will use again. Thanks to Angie's list for finding him."

"I contacted several plumbers this day and Mr. Craig was the only one that returned my call. Once I told him the problem he told me a time and a price and he was there to fix the problem. I really appreciated the fact that he was on time and very professional. I would definitely be using this company again."

"This was the first time I have used Angie's list, so as soon as I got the installation date I started looking in the handyman listings. I came across Honey Do's Solutions LLC. and read the reviews they were all A, then I saw he was located close by so I called. I told Jason what I needed and when he put me down for the morning after the installation but we changed it to afternoon. Jason arrived at the time he said he would and got right to work. I always think things are easier then they turn out to be and this job was no exception, the faucet was no problem but the new sink was a lot deeper then the old one and the disposal was a lot bigger. Jason made a quick trip to Home Depot got some fittings and pipe made a few adjustments hooked everything up and was done. It looked nice and neat under the sink, he cleaned up the work area checked for leaks everything was good. Jason is professional, friendly and easy to talk to he answers any question I had and his prices are very good. I will be calling him when I need some work done he is very versed in many different types of Jobs. I will give him 5 big THUMBS UP!!!!"

"Excellent service. Bryan and the team were able to find and fix our leak on the same day as the visit. We purchased an Angie’s Lost deal, which was deducted from the total cost of the job. Bryan was also flexible with the payments dates for us! Can not recommend Bryan and the Waterleak team enough."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Silicone caulk—despite having some adhesive properties—is not the primary thing that holds your sink in place. Rather, it seals the gaps around the sink to prevent water from leaking and causing issues with mold and corrosion. Most sinks are secured by clips, though some sinks are secured with two-part epoxy or brackets.

Yes, there are different size sink drains, but a 1 ½-inch-diameter drain is the most common modern drain size. However, some sink drains are 2 inches or 3 inches in diameter. A bathroom sink drain is 1 ¼ inches in diameter, and kitchen sink drainpipes are 1 ½ inches in diameter.

Some of the most common plumbing repairs are certainly no small issues. The good news is that plumbers typically deal with these problems frequently and have the parts and tools ready to take care of them quickly and efficiently. These common problems include:

  • Clogged drains: $75–$250

  • Clogged toilet: $125–$300

  • Bathtub and shower: $100–$600

  • Faucet or showerhead: $200–$350

  • Sink pipe: $200–$500

  • Toilet repair: $150–$400

Deteriorated seals, O-rings, or gaskets are common culprits behind a leaky sink after you’ve turned off the water—especially if your sink is older than 15 years. Inspect each of these mechanisms in your sink for signs of corrosion or looseness, then replace the worn-out part to fix it. Older sinks may be worth replacing if several of the parts are worn-out.

The cost varies from $200 to $1,500, depending on whether it’s a basic replacement, repair, or a full sink and plumbing upgrade.
