"John has been our go-to guy for several years now. We live in an early 70s home, and as with all older homes there are repairs that are needed fairly often. From the first time he worked for us, identifying that a leak originated from a roof vent that had been knocked slightly askew in a storm and rain water had gradually seeped down the pipes and terminated above our kitchen cabinets, he has always been prompt, courteous, professional in every way, and just an all around nice guy to work with. And the pricing has always been fair. Since then he has installed a number of appliances and fixed sundry leaks for us. Can't recommend him or his company enough. Give them a try."

"James was punctual, extremely fastidious, kept me informed of progress, did a beautiful job of re-glazing and re-caulking and cleaned up without any residual mess. He explained and gave me written instructions for care of the new surface. I will ask specifically for him when reglazing of another bathtub."

"The tech was friendly and got to work right away and the job looked pretty good when he left.
Unfortunately with the other bathroom remodeling I have not used the tub much.  I did spill some tile cleaner on it and it left permanent dots in the finish and I did scrape it with a piece of wood already which shows.  Time will tell how well the refinish will hold up.

"I started the process of re-doing my kitchen last May, and now I have an absolutely beautiful kitchen.  The designer worked with me to get just what I wanted for the kitchen.  She was honest and forthcoming, and listened to my needs.  She got me through all of the decisions (and there are a LOT of decisions) with patience!  After measuring, the designer turned us over to the project manager who must be the best ever found.  They knew just what needed to be done in what order to create the kitchen I have.  Work people came promptly, and when I expected them.   Everyone was polite and helpful, and performed their individual jobs with skill.  I never felt as though they forgot me, or were avoiding me.  The contractor was always a phone call away and he too was great.  He explained things (probably multiple times) and responded to my needs. I was impressed!  And, I am not an easy woman to impress.  I love the outcome -- it is even better than I envisioned it.  I just want to look at it.
You need to be prepared for a long process... I spent a lot of time getting multiple bids and multiple views of my needs, not only on the kitchen itself, but also the appliances.  This takes much more time than you would expect.  Then everything needs to be ordered, and your job scheduled.  They tore out my cabinets on November 17, and I had the last city inspection on February 9.  Of course, there were 3 holidays in there to mess up scheduling, but it is a long time to be without a kitchen!  They must do things in a specific order and so it takes a while.  But, the various subcontractors worked together and coordinated quite well.  I cannot think of anything that troubled me in the process.

"I had called a national plumbing chain to unclog our stopped up kitchen sink. Our cold water pressure was very poor and we asked why. We were told that the master pressure valve for the house was faulty and needed replacing. We had to make another appointment to fix. Made the appointment for the hours between 8 and 10 Am. After two calls and it was now 3 PM, I cancelled the appointment. I called Handyman. He was there the next day, researched and found a simple valve clogged beneathe the sink and repaired. He showed me the clogged valve and explained all. For a very minimal charge and a professional job well done, we now have cold water pressure and a man we will use again. Thanks to Angie's list for finding him."

"I contacted several plumbers this day and Mr. Craig was the only one that returned my call. Once I told him the problem he told me a time and a price and he was there to fix the problem. I really appreciated the fact that he was on time and very professional. I would definitely be using this company again."

"This was the first time I have used Angie's list, so as soon as I got the installation date I started looking in the handyman listings. I came across Honey Do's Solutions LLC. and read the reviews they were all A, then I saw he was located close by so I called. I told Jason what I needed and when he put me down for the morning after the installation but we changed it to afternoon. Jason arrived at the time he said he would and got right to work. I always think things are easier then they turn out to be and this job was no exception, the faucet was no problem but the new sink was a lot deeper then the old one and the disposal was a lot bigger. Jason made a quick trip to Home Depot got some fittings and pipe made a few adjustments hooked everything up and was done. It looked nice and neat under the sink, he cleaned up the work area checked for leaks everything was good. Jason is professional, friendly and easy to talk to he answers any question I had and his prices are very good. I will be calling him when I need some work done he is very versed in many different types of Jobs. I will give him 5 big THUMBS UP!!!!"

"Excellent service. Bryan and the team were able to find and fix our leak on the same day as the visit. We purchased an Angie’s Lost deal, which was deducted from the total cost of the job. Bryan was also flexible with the payments dates for us! Can not recommend Bryan and the Waterleak team enough."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

On average, it takes four to eight hours to install a pedestal sink. However, several factors will influence how much time it takes to install a pedestal sink, including:

  • A replacement will take longer to put in than a new install

  • The size and weight of the pedestal sink—a pro may need an apprentice for help

  • It will take longer to change the sink type vs. replacing the pedestal with a duplicate

The Thanksgiving holiday period is one of the busiest times of the year for plumbers. Both Thanksgiving Day and the day after, often called Black Friday or "Brown Friday" by plumbing professionals, see a significant increase in service requests. This is because a house full of guests, large holiday meals, and unfamiliarity with the home's plumbing can lead to clogged drains, garbage disposal issues, and sewer line backups. Outside of the holidays, the busiest weekdays for plumbers are typically Monday and Tuesday, as many people discover plumbing problems over the weekend but wait to call for service. Despite the holiday, you can rest assured that many plumbers work on Thanksgiving and Black Friday to handle the surge in emergency calls.

Older faucet fixtures may have some corrosion, leaving them stuck. Try a few techniques to loosen the fixtures.

  • Wrap the fixture with a towel and tap the base with a hammer.

  • Use a putty knife to gently remove any caulk that may be holding the handle or fixture in place.

  • Apply a few drops of penetrating oil around the base of the fixture or around the nuts.

  • Purchase a faucet pulling tool to pop the fixture loose.

Most of the time, you can replace a kitchen sink without replacing the entire counter. However, if you’re replacing a large sink with a smaller sink, you’ll have to fully replace the counter because you’ll have a gap in the sink space area. But if your new sink is bigger than your old sink, your pro can simply cut into your counter to open up space for it.

No, they have multiple designs. Choosing a bathroom fixture will depend in large part on the current configuration you have. You will want to pick a model that matches the faucet holes currently in your sink, countertop, or wall. If you want to make a complete changeover, you may need to buy and install a new vanity and sink at the same time you purchase your faucet.
