"The person who handled my call was friendly and professional. She told me a technician would be at my house in 4 hours and called me when he was on his way. The technician was outstanding, on time, professional, friendly, and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem...best of all, he didn't try to sell parts/service that I didn't need! Best experience with an HVAC company I've ever had."

"Great. Brandon knew his stuff. He conducted and airflow test to show us where our leaks were. He provided suggestions on where we could best reduce leaks. He also looked over our structure (joists) and HVAC system, again, suggesting improvements. Well worth the investment!"

"Had new hvac, furnace, and hwh installed. Furnace had a couple of air leaks between a coil and furnace which I fixed myself. Hvac was spot on. Hwh failed first inspection, but was corrected in same day. For the premium price paid, these issues should not happen. Quality 4.5 because of these issues, same goes for value. Customer service is very good. They are very professional, work looks very good, clean worksite afterwards. I would recommend, but don't think about negotiating price with them. Their labor is very high."

"They had very good communication, and the worker was courteous and pleasant. He checked out my fridge and said I had to get a new fan. I called them back to let them know the ice-maker was still not working and they came back out. At that point, I was told the compressor was shot and I needed a new refrigerator. Ultimately, the took back the fan and only charged me only $56 for the diagnostic, and left me with a messy floor. I give everything an A rating except for the mess he left, which was slightly inconvenient in my condition."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

There are a few ways to reduce your electricity bills if you use window AC units to keep cool. Set the unit temperature at least 1 degree higher than it is currently to reduce costs. Keep the unit clean for it to run efficiently. You may want to hire a window AC specialist near you to inspect the unit once a year and keep it in tip-top shape.

No, it’s not normal for AC vents to drip condensation. A sweating AC vent is a sign of something wrong and can lead to issues like air duct rust or mold growth. Your HVAC unit might not be working efficiently because of a dirty filter or clogged ducts. Alternatively, your ductwork might not have adequate insulation, which allows the cool air in the ducts to meet the humid air outside, causing condensation.

You can buy a house with a 15-year-old HVAC system if you inspect the system for performance and budget for a replacement within the next three years. You can also negotiate the price with the sellers. Ask to look at the unit’s maintenance records and energy bills for the last two years to determine the shape of the HVAC system and its operating costs. Spend time in each room of the house to gauge if the HVAC keeps the home at a consistent temperature throughout.

To lower humidity quickly, run a dehumidifier or your home's air conditioner or turn on exhaust fans to extract moisture. These methods can quickly and effectively bring your home's humidity levels to a comfortable condition. However, you should consistently practice humidity-reducing tasks to maintain proper indoor humidity levels.

No, heat pump maintenance needs are very similar to air conditioners, including keeping outdoor units clean, changing filters regularly, and occasionally scheduling a refrigerant check to see if any has leaked out. Heat pumps typically switch automatically between heating and cooling, so you don’t need to worry about manually changing them every season. However, since they are always on call, they can develop wear and tear faster than an air conditioner.
