"The owner himself came to my home, unaware until the installation occurred that the owner was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful for my small window replacement. Treated me with the utmost courtesy as if it were a large job. He made a promise and fulfilled that delivery on day before Thanksgiving. I would recommend Hyperion for any glass or window job hands down. I tried to tip the service man on the return and He said no thank you it’s our job! That tells me that Hyperion is also a great place to work. Happy employees make happy service calls!"

"I would highly recommend their services. They designed and installed my bathroom, and it has never looked this good. Everything is in sync, from the tiles to the accessories. I'd give them a solid ten out of ten."

"They took off my siding, opening a hole through to the kitchen sink. This saved me ruining my nice granite countertops by accessing things from outside.

They also went into the basement and opened a clean hole in the drywall and framing. The work was very smooth and they were easy to work with.

Will use again.

"I used H&F exteriors to redo the complete outside of my home. From top to bottom. My windows were the original windows to the home, now that it is summer time, my AC Unit barely runs, no where near to what it use to. From the window installers, to the guys on the roof during the hot day, and the siding guys. The entire team did a great job. I worked with Jill and she was easy to work with. Highly recommended."

"This crew was fast, friendly and professional . Very little inconvenience and took the time to double check their work and ensure I was happy with the sliding glass door and all the features. Had to clean up a bit outside but not bad and one of the guys even did some vacuuming. Very happy with my experience and was worth the wait."

Small jobs welcome

"Wanted to improve the appearance of the second bathroom. Some light mold had accumulated on the bath tub caulking and a porcelain soap dish had been broken years ago by my daughter. Hired Mr. Handyman based on Angie's List reviews. The work was done in two trips. On the first trip the tub was re-caulked and the remnants of the soap dish removed (not as easy as it sounds as the dish was really on there).  I then purchased a like soap dish and the same gentlemen returned to install. No trip charge was assessed for the second visit. All work was done efficiently and to satisfaction. Will definitely use this company again if a need arises.

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can hire someone to hang a mirror in your home if you’re unable to tackle the job yourself. You can search for nearby mirror installers, but often, your best bet is a local handyperson. If you’re having other work done in the same room, such as plumbing, drywall, or electrical, those contractors are likely able to help hang the mirror as well—no need to hire someone else.

The cost of adding glass to your kitchen cabinet doors depends on the number of cabinets, type of glass, and labor costs. Glass typically costs between $5 to $20 per sheet and you can expect to purchase complementary hardware materials for $2 to $50 each. If you’re hiring a cabinet professional to install glass in your cabinet doors, ask them for a specific estimate before hiring.

There’s no exact formula to calculate the cost of your mirror, but a few guidelines will help you estimate the price tag you can expect. The bigger the mirror, the higher the cost—and the same goes for thickness. Customizations will largely depend on the labor required, so think about how long your design will take and multiply that by your contractor’s hourly rate.

The cost of a window repair varies significantly depending on which part is damaged. Here is a breakdown of common repairs and their estimated costs:

  • Broken seal or fogginess between panes: $70–$245

  • Cracked pane: $40–$100

  • Broken glass: $200–$2,000

  • Sash, seal, or track repair: $200–$600

  • Latch or hardware issues: $75–$200

  • Broken window frame: $175–$1,000

  • Window screen replacement: $140–$480

All of the things you use to help you get clean can leave your shower door looking dirty. Water can leave mineral deposits as well as unsightly spots when drops of water dry on the glass. Soap and shampoo can cause build-up and residue that leaves a layer of soap scum in your shower, which then attracts dirt. Mold and mildew can also contribute to dirty shower doors; these fast-growing organisms thrive in areas with poor air circulation, damp conditions, and residue from things like soap and shampoo.
