"We needed an emergency glass shower door repair. One of our sliding glass shower doors seized and jammed on Friday and we were having holiday company visit the following Thursday. I called Hyperion on Monday morning, they said they'd try to have someone look at the door the following Tuesday afternoon. The repairman came, looked at the problem, indicated what might happen and explained what needed to be done. The repair was made, no problem! They were professional, courteous and quick. The repair was reasonable and they saved my holiday."

"We hired H@F to resolve storm damage to our roof/siding from 2025 spring hailstorms. Our project managers name is Reggie Trankle. From start to finish Reggie proved to be outstanding. He assisted us with coordination requirements between the insurance company and contractor, he ensured the work performed was done professionally, he always made himself available for questions, and he kept a positive and professional demeanor from the start of the project to the completion of the project. The siding and roof installation turned out great. We are planning to update our siding on the North side of the house next year and will insist to have Reggie manage that and all future roof/siding projects at our residence. Customers say: True professional

"No matter what problem you have, Clint is the man for the job! He not only fixed the plumbing issues I discovered during a remodel but was able to fix the electrical issues, flooring problems, install the cabinets, cut and grout backsplash tile, and fix a handful of minor issues that came up along the way. Clint is on time, dependable, courteous and respectful of your property - he even cleans up afterwards! I could not have completed this project without Clint Hatcher and highly recommend him to anyone who needs work done - you will not be disappointed!!"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

If you decide to forgo your old windows and upgrade them to modern day technology, there may be some people interested in the old windows. You can try selling them on an online marketplace for around $50 to $100 each (so long as the window wasn’t damaged during the removal). This can also help off set the overall price to replace them.

Heavy glass tends to be more expensive than thin glass because it is stronger and more durable. In most cases, ¼-inch-thick glass is ideal for mirrors, and ⅛-inch-thick glass is ideal for residential windows. Heavier glass isn’t always necessary, and can be more challenging to hang or install. Work with a local window installation pro for replacement or new construction windows.

Once you’ve gotten any scuff marks, grime, and burn marks off your glass stovetop you can use vinegar to finalize the clean without leaving streaks. Just put some white vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz it onto the stovetop before wiping it in a consistent direction with a microfiber cloth.

Prior to the middle part of the 1900s, glass manufacturers used a technique that involved blowing glass into cylinder shapes that were then flattened out to create sheets used for windows and doors. This technique often left behind ripples and inconsistencies in the glass.

While finding your mirror cracked can be spooky, there are actually many logical and common reasons why this happens. First, the mirror may have been mounted unevenly in the first place. Over time, poor mounting leads to stress points that will eventually cause a mirror to crack. Other common causes of a mirror spontaneously cracking include dramatic temperature shifts, strong thunder or a loud crash somewhere in the distance, exposure to heat and sunlight, and an uneven wall in your home. It's also possible that your mirror had a manufacturing defect or microscopic cracks that occurred during glass cutting or handling that eventually caused it to shatter.
