"It went just ok. Stay on top of your contractor. I don't like to be that person, however i have to look at my basement everyday and am just disappointed. Never really sure when people were going to show up. How long they were going to work. Multiple days people were gone by noon and never came back. Biggest issues issue was the communication and lack of. 1. We had a layout planned. Our utility room door was moved and was never communicated until it was framed out and 99% too late. Because of this, our future bar can't go where i want it. 2. An electric switch was installed and is completely useless. I click the switch, have to walk 3' and turn on a second switch. I wanted them all on 1 switch. 3. I wish they would have installed another small beam next to the org to make the room look better. Now there is a jagged mess going to our room. 4. the return vents were just punched through the drywall instead of returning air from the main room, the air is getting pulled from our utility room until i went in and taped it up myself. 5. HUGE ISSUE When we got the quote for finishing the basement, they didn't include the stairs going to the main level. What? Seriously? Who would have a finished basement, and UNFINISHED STAIRCASE??? So that added extra work and stress for me. 6. Other little things like a coax cable and stairway tread lights were also missed until we reminded them. Not finishing the painting around the smoke detectors. All silly things that you know people would be grumpy to come and fix. Just not the attention to detail we were hoping for. So this winter, i am re-doing some of this myself to make it what i really wanted and taking on the additional expense. I honestly wish i would have done it myself."

At Window Concepts of MN we have been family owned for over 25 years. We believe in developing long-term relationships with our clients. We want to be your go-to service for your current project and any others you may have in the future. We strive to offer the highest quality product and service.

"I do not recommend this company due to poor quality of product. - Jan 2023 bought 2 patio doors, 3 slider windows. Product that was installed in May included 2 cracked slider windows and all products had wrong color on interior. All needed to be replaced. - May 2023 bought additional 19 windows. After install in Oct 2023, 13 of the 19 had noted manufacturing defects requiring replacement in January 2024. After install of these replacements in January 2024, additional 7 had noted manufacturing defects requiring replacement in April 2024. At install of these latest replacements, 5 more had noted manufacturing defects requirement replacement (which has not yet happened) - June 2024 during rainstorm noted two of the window sets had significant water leaks. Company was advised with documentation on 6.4.2024; as of today 6.8.2024 company has yet to acknowledge my request for refund so I can re-replace the windows with a different company. Additionally several of the caulk lines were obviously done by a new employee, as I had to have the contractor installing new siding re-do those lines."

Sink Repair questions, answered by experts

Yes, drain stoppers do come out. In some cases, you can twist them counterclockwise to remove them. You can lift some drain stoppers halfway to the raised position and unscrew them. For others, you will need to lift the drain stopper to the raised position and unscrew the stopper from the stem underneath the top of the stopper.

Porcelain and enamel sinks have very similar appearances, but they aren’t the same. Porcelain is a ceramic made from natural clay, while enamel is a strong powder that’s glazed over a metal sink. Use a magnet to determine whether you have an enamel or porcelain sink. If a strong magnet sticks to the sink, it’s likely enamel. If it doesn’t, you probably have a porcelain sink. You can also use the model number on the sink (often found on the underside of the bowl) or information from the manufacturer to determine the material.

The average cost to install a new sink is $430. Your final cost will depend on whether you do the work yourself, where you live, and the type of sink you choose. Choosing a premium material, such as granite, can add a thousand dollars or more to the overall price.

Natural stone stinks require sealing before installation because they have a porous surface susceptible to staining and damage. Quartz is much denser than natural stone, making it non-porous and resistant to stains or absorption. Because quartz is a composite material, it doesn’t need to be sealed before daily use.

In many ways they are the same thing, which is a large sink that has a tall front section, often called an apron. This is because the depth of the sink prevents splashing against you, serving the same purpose as an apron. While all farmhouse sinks are apron sinks, not all apron sinks are farmhouse sinks.
