Mike Ziegler, Jeff Witt, Darrin and Phil from the roofing crew, Michael from the siding crew, Jose from the shingling crew and Valente from the painting crew (and of course all of the workers who worked with them) not only did an excellent job and provided great leadership, but they were attentive to every single question or concern I had. This is an extremely talented team of people. I live in a 1920s cottage-style house and wanted to maintain the integrity and original style of my home. I got bids from three different construction companies, but none of them paid attention to the details like Craftsman. They followed through on every item. Highly recommended

- Craftsman's Choice IncOver the last 5 years Craftsman Choice worked with us to replace our roof, all of our windows (42) and all of our doors. We had such a positive experience with the roof, when it came time to do our windows and doors, they won our business. The thing that makes Craftsman Choice stand out is their attention to detail, their responsiveness to our inquiries, and any actions required after installation. They even repaired an issue from our siding vendor as that company stop responding immediately after installation. Craftsman Choice, to this day. responds. There are very few roofing, window, door, and siding folks that will respond once they are paid, but Craftsman Choice continues to respond. I also have to speak highly about the salesperson, the project managers, and the craftsman that we experienced over this time frame. All performed highly, were great to work with, accommodating, knowledgeable, and made the projects easy. Sales was upfront, transparent, patient, and honest. Project managers were responsive, gave the bad news fast if there was any, and worked with us to get the job done to our satisfaction. The craftsman working for Craftsman Choice are all true craftsmen; and I do not use that term lightly. They have been there, done that, and that experience shown through thoroughly in each job performed. There will always be issues, but how Craftsman Choice chooses to deal with the issues makes them stand out. I have referred them to many coworkers and friends and have had no regrets in making a recommendation. I am not an employee; I do not own stock in Craftsman Choice, but the reason I write this is when someone performs poorly, I speak up. And, when someone does a good job, I like to make it known. FYI the $90k I mentioned in this was over three different jobs and several years. Would I go back to a poor company? No, I would not. I went back to Craftsman Choice twice

They were extremely good in communicating what is going on. The windows were late in arriving from the manufacturer and they told us about it. The workmanship for both the windows and the siding were excellent. Many of my neighbors who are very picky about the work done came up to me to mention how great a job these guys did. Matt Enfield, their salesperson with whom I dealt with the most is a guy whom I can trust. I don't know how many times we went back and forth on what we wanted and he was very patient came to our house numerous times to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted. - Capital Siding Windows & RoofingWhen we got hit with the hail storm last summer on the east side of St Paul, we received damage to our roof, gutters, etc. The insurance company sent an adjuster that approved about 25 percent of the damage. Add to this most roofing companies were very busy and weren’t really interested in a small roof like ours. We contacted Capitol Siding and Windows and they were instrumental in us getting what we should have received in the first place. They came out and inspected everything, took a lot of pictures and helped us contact the insurance company to meet an adjuster and straighten out our claim. The claim was fully approved, and our new roof looks great! Capitol Siding and Windows is a local family owned business that still puts customer’s needs first, and I highly recommend them for any exterior work on your house. I promise you will not be let down

I recently contacted them for a second opinion after a storm chaser company told me that I needed a new roof due to damage caused by a recent storm. "Working with Hampton Exteriors has been an absolute pleasure. I could just leave it at, "They were excellent", but I think a little more detail is in order.
<br /> After a recent hail storm, my wife and I were barraged by the fly-by-night storm-chasing contractors. One afternoon, while I was already outside, I decided to humor one of them for a few minutes. After inspecting my roof, he told me that "I definitely would get a new one" from my insurance company. It was almost immediately after that statement that he wanted my signatures on a bunch of paperwork, and right then that I told them that I wasn't interested.
<br /> Of course, I was interested in pursuing any legitimate hail damage, so I called Jeremy at Hampton Exteriors after finding them on Angie's List. (By the way, I used Angie's List to research that storm-chaser contractor, and he had poor reviews.) The same day that I called, Jeremy was able to come out and take a look at my roof. I knew he was being honest when he said that I "might have enough for a claim". His inspection did turn up damage, but ultimately, the whim of a given insurance adjuster affects the outcome the most.
<br /> On the day of the insurance claim inspection, both Jeremy and Joel arrived early and walked me through the process. When the insurance adjuster arrived, Joel worked with him to point out all of the damaged areas of the roof. This is where I could tell that Joel's decades of experience helped the process along. Joel advocated for me throughout the entire time. The claim was approved and I scheduled a date with Hampton for the replacement.
<br /> Jeremy and Joel both walked me through the insurance claim process, which was confusing to me since I was a new homeowner. In addition to the roof, I wanted to have an old chimney torn out, and Hampton was able to provide that service as well. Hampton was also coordinating my gutter replacement.
<br /> On the day of the job, Jeremy and Joel arrived promptly with their crew and the work began in a flash. Hampton Exteriors uses the same crew for all of their work so they know and trust the team, and as a result, so did I. Watching them work was pretty interesting for me, and I was amazed at how efficient they were. They finished the job before I even got home from work that day. The crew did an excellent job of clean-up and protecting the area around the roof. Of course, being a curious guy, I had to climb up on the roof and see the finished product. I was very happy to see evidence of a quality installation. All shingle courses were straight and the roof vents were properly installed. They caulked everything as they should. The chimney removal was seamless.
<br /> The very next day, both Jeremy and Joel met me to do a walk-through of the work and address open items. I was also having my gutters replaced, but I wanted some extra time to paint the fascia behind the gutters as my house doesn't have aluminum fascia. Hampton was very flexible with the gutter installation and I appreciated their willingness to work with me. The gutter installer did a fantastic job and the seamless gutters are amazing. No more leaking gutter seams for this guy!
<br /> Overall, I was extremely pleased with the quality of their work, their responsiveness, and the depth of their knowledge. I will recommend them to any of my friends/family in the future.
