Hello, I am Sam the Handy Man, I am a Licensed Building Contractor in the State of Minnesota and fully insured up to a million dollars per state requirements.\n\nI started this as a handyman business and quickly moved up into larger jobs and now focus mostly on remodels basements bathrooms interior remodels but I can handle anything exterior and exterior on residential homes. \nBeing licensed allows me to hire subcontractors for plumbing and electrical if needed. But I can work on existing electrical and existing plumbing. \nI try to work 5 to 6 days a week, I offer free quotes. My typical hours run between 8 and 9, to 3 to 4. "It was great from start to finish.  I called Monday afternoon and was connected to a voice message.  Gregg, the owner/installer called back within 15 minutes.  We discussed repair or replace and contacting the insurance company.  Gregg gave me the direct number for the insurance company's windshield repair specialists.  Gregg then scheduled the work for the next morning.  He arrived at the appointed time and quickly replaced the damaged windshield.

Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. "SMS Construction hauled away my old crappy deck and and replaced it with a brand new cedar deck. This was a full service job done to perfection by SMS.  The materials arrived right on time, as did the dumpster to remove the remains of the old deck.  The crew worked very efficiently and did not leave a mess. Some rotten sheathing was discovered under the old ledger board and Scott sent me pictures from his phone which I immediately reviewed and authorized some additional work.  Additional cost for that was minimal and fair.  Final product is very good looking and I can tell that no corners were cut. Over-all a very good value and a carefree experience.

"Paul and his partner were great to work with, they arrived at exactly the time agreed upon and worked tirelssly, no breaks moving quickly from one project to the next for 5 straight hours. Although DIY home repairs is not their primary work (carpentry) they took it all on and completed more than I expected to get done in this period of time.
They were completely professional, did quality work and were easy to work with. Paul was very open about not doing work he was not licensed for - plumbing and electrical, but provided advice on how work could be done.
