"Always late or never turned up, he gave every excuse under the sun. Workmanship was very poor, he always left a mess that we ended up cleaning up afterwards. Still not finished the job after 4 months and we ended up hiring someone else to finish and redo the poor remodel and trim."

Residential and business water treatment systems. Water softeners, UV lights. We will analyze your water for contaminants such as chlorine, low pH, iron, bacteria, and devise a system to suit your needs. Treat your water from the source, as it enters your home, so whether you are drinking it, cooking with it or bathing in it, your water is pure.

"The process was quick and easy. I just provided a water sample. It was determined that I had high levels of chlorine in our drinking water. I was able to solve my water problems with only one filter. Why did I wait years to have this done? Now I can be confident that our water is safe. Highly recommended."

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Southeast WI in Franksville, WI, is the leading plumbing company serving all of Southeastern Wisconsin since 2006. We offer complete plumbing repairs, sewer and drain cleaning, water heaters and repair, and much more. For all your plumbing needs, contact Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Southeast WI in Franksville.

"When the plumber arrived (delayed by over six hours) to cap my gas line in preparation for an electric stove installation, he told me I didn't need to get the line capped in such a circumstance. He kept saying, "who told you that you needed this?" I believed it was the standard approach recommended by plumbers for safety. But he simply closed the gas valve and left. After that I confirmed I was correct and called Mr. Rooter for someone to come complete the job. I was told someone would contact me but no one ever did, so I had to rush to hire a different company. During a later ?apology call? (after my Yelp review was read) from Mr. Rooter to discuss my experience, it was suggested to me that had my husband been present during the visit by the plumber, my request for the gas line to be capped would have been taken more seriously (because a man would know more about plumbing, I inferred). Saying "this may sound chauvinistic, but" as a preface to this comment didn't soften the blow."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

A lower-end water softener would cost around $900, not including installation. Each home has different requirements, water hardness, and number of inhabitants, so there’s a huge range in pricing—$600 to over $6,000. The average water softener repair bill is around $500, meaning it’s a much better option to repair any issues and only replace your softener if absolutely necessary.

A single shower consumes an average of over 17 gallons, while brushing your teeth with the water running uses up to four unnecessary gallons. Watering the lawn spreads hundreds of gallons of water across the yard each time. Limiting water usage in these areas can significantly cut down your water bill.

No. You should never directly drain a water softener into a sewer cleanout. This practice is illegal in many areas because it could allow raw sewage to get into your drinking water and make you seriously ill. Many places have codes requiring a specific seal, pipe, and a large air gap between a water softener and a sewage cleanout. Check out Florida's Plumbing Building Code as an example of what these restrictions might look like.

Hard water isn’t necessarily bad for you. In some ways, it’s good for you. If you’re deficient in magnesium or calcium, hard water can give you a mineral boost that you wouldn’t get with soft water. However, this is where the benefits of hard water pretty much stop. Hard water can cause many minor inconveniences and lead to costly, premature replacements of your water-using appliances.

It depends on the type of surface. For instance, if you’re trying to get rid of hard water deposits on glass, you can spray vinegar onto the surface and wipe it off with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. However, if the deposits are on granite or natural stone, it’s better to use baking soda and water rather than vinegar or other acidic cleaners.
