"Paul was easy to get a hold of and was able to accommodate my tight schedule. Gave me an accurate estimate over the phone. I found a few other items in the meantime and he gave me a very reasonable rate for the extra stuff when he arrived. He was very professional through the entire experience. Gave me a courtesy call to update me when a prior job went a little longer than he expected. Called again to give me a 30 min heads up before arriving. He even recommended how I could save some money by disposing of a few small items myself at local residential drop-off locations. He ended up hauling a love seat, sleeper sofa, sleeper love seat, file cabinet, and a few other small items."

"After gross mishandling of my order: continual misinformation, persistently irresponsible & inept service & scheduling Pods created a costly mess. When I chose Pods, I set the pickup and delivery of my unit to coincide with my arrival in Minneapolis (from Portland, Oregon), and the first day I could gain access to our new apartment, which was May 1st. When I called pods, around the 18th of may, to change the pick up date from the 23rd of May, to the 24th, I was notified the earliest delivery date for either of these days would not be the until the 8th of June! We’d be living in our new apartment without any of our items, for over a week. My brother in law had taken the day off from work to help us move into our apartment on the 1st. Because of this delay, he had to reschedule his day off to the 8th. I also had to reschedule a rental truck I’d reserved to facilitate the move. A new date to access the pod at their facility in Eagan, Minnesota was set for the 8th of June. My Pod was picked up on the 24th of May. I called on the 3rd of June, to confirm that I would be able to access my pod on the 8th. After spending close to an hour on the phone with Pods, I was informed that my delivery date would not be until somewhere around the 20th of June! I told Pods this was totally unacceptable, and I was put into another complaint services voicemail to explain my situation and wait to hear back from them. Again, I had to cancel my plans, and the plans my brother in law had made for the second time, because of Pods misinformation and ineptitude. At this point, June 3rd, my complaint with Pods was recorded. Eventually, through multiple phone calls and incredible conversations with clueless and unhelpful customer service representatives, I was able to secure a time to access my Pod for the 12th of June and the following Sunday, the 16th of June. Again, my brother in law changed his day-off to help us, a tall order, since so far, this ordeal had obnoxiously complicated and costly for him to keep requesting days off to help us, only to have those plans repeatedly changed. Because my journey with Pods had been fraught with so much trouble, misinformation, and incorrect scheduling, I thought to call Pods on the 11th, just to confirm I would be able to access my pod. I am glad I did because they informed me that, somehow, the date had been set for that very day, the 11th, and my pod was waiting for me and, for some reason, it would not be available on the 12th. They said, the earliest I would be able to schedule a time to access my pod would be the 24th of June! A full month from the pick-up date in Portland, Oregon. Pods assured me I had no recourse in the matter and put me into another voicemail to lodge my complaint, Kimberly Williams, who would be out of the office until the 18th (one week later) of June to address the issue. Again, this was incredible to hear. It was especially frustrating that, at that time, my Pod was actually located in Eagen, but was mysteriously inaccessible. Again, I called customer service, and after some lengthy phone calls with Pods’ now consistently very unhelpful customer service, I was able to schedule an access time for the 12th of June. Again, my brother in law changed his day off work, and I requested another day off of my new job (I’d only been working at my new job a week and, with this issue, I was becoming a problem employee). Thankfully, I was able to access my Pod and remove half the contents. In retelling this incredible story to their claims resolution representative, Kimberly Williams, she informed me Pods would only refund $100 of my order. I had asked for 40% off my $3200 bill. She held her offer at $100, but in order to get the money, I would have to sign a gag order not to discuss my ordeal, or complain about Pods on social media, or write an account such as the one I just did and submit it to you, Angie's List, the Better Business Bureau, or any other customer protection agency."

As the leading provider of Junk Removal & Dumpster Rental Alternative in Minneapolis, your local 1-800-GOT-JUNK? will help make your junk disappear!

"They do not pick up pianos unless it is under a certain weight, they won't take it down more than two steps, and it isn't wet outside. This should be advertised on their website! I chose them because I needed the piano moved along with a huge pile of other stuff. I still had them remove the other stuff, but if I had known, I would have hired somebody else instead. I felt that their TV ads are misleading that they will take anything and their written list of items they will take is also misleading as it states they will take pianos. Besides that, the guys were good that moved the junk and they moved quickly and were on time."

"Not a big-box retailer but a small family-run business. Received some good information to compare brands and models from sales people. They also provide service and repairs. After a few months our new fridge needed a new part to remedy a noise issue. They were prompt in coming out to diagnose problem and were prompt in installing the new part when it came in."

"These guys take your money and if they screw up they drop you! They took my filter cover off then put it in incorrectly so the filter wasn’t running properly then when I told them about it and that my water smelled like mildew they dropped us! James is a complete jerk! I told him my sick daughter needs a clean hot tub as that’s the only relief from excruciating bone pain and he said she shouldn’t be going in the hot tub and continue to say he can’t “satisfy our needs” so we were dropped immediately! Our needs was simply for them to do what they were hired to do, and we were even nice about it but he was a complete jerk! Avoid!!!"

The cost to demolish a single-wide mobile home ranges from $3,000 to $5,000, including debris disposal. A double-wide mobile home will cost $4,000 to $7,000 to demolish and remove debris.

The average cost of junk removal is around $250, but prices for this work range from $60 for small projects to $600 or more for large projects. Some companies charge per hour of work, but most will inspect your home and then give you a flat fee for the entire project. Garbage removal labor varies from project to project, so the best way to get an accurate estimate for your service is to contact a reputable garbage removal company in your area and hire them to inspect the junk that you plan to remove.

The most cost-effective approach to land clearing is DIY-ing what you can, such as removing brush, small saplings, and other more manageable tasks. Then, contact a tree cutting pro to finish the job for the larger vegetation and trees on your property. Get multiple quotes, look for off-season discounts, and scope out all your options to keep things as budget-friendly as possible.

Many contractors include debris hauling, or you can recycle concrete for eco-friendly disposal.

Depending on where you live and how much furniture you’re disposing of, you could schedule a large item collection with your municipal trash pick-up services, hire a junk removal company, or rent a dumpster.
