I can't say enough about Andy and his crew! They were professional, completed when promised, cleanup was exemplary, and were the low bid! Totally blown away by their work! It was snowing and cold when they were taking down the large silver maple close to both our house and the neighbors. With his crew of 5-6 (including women I might add :) , they cabled and block and tackled all the tree branches down without touching either roof or nearby trees. They even contacted me prior to the date to make sure I spoke with the neighbors to alert them of the scheduled work. Andy spoke with the neighbor the day of the work to make sure they had access to leave amidst all the equipment if need be. Would definitely recommend his services!

Andy and his team were very professional, responsive, and great to work with. They do very nice work.

Better than estimated. After inspection and discussions with Andy and a consulting arborist, we chose to save the tree. The original remedy for bracing included one rod and two cables to hold the tree together during windy conditions so it would not split apart and fall on our home. When Andy climbed into the tree's canopy, he had a different perspective and chose to install just one dynamic cable brace. Professional advice and work. Tree saved and braced. Cost less than estimated. We're grateful and satisfied.

Branch and Bough did an excellent job pruning our Silver Maple and removing our Burning Bush. First, I was very impressed with Andy's knowledge when he came out to give his estimate. He answered every question and did not oversell. When it came time to having the work done, we were amazed with how well the job was done along with the clean up. We were really happy with their work and highly recommend them.

Great service, set up appointment in July and Andy recommended waiting until trees were dormant to trim. We weren't in a rush, so service was performed in Sept.

The crew was excellent. They told me what they were going to do and took the time to answer my questions about other work that I want done. The clean up was phenomenal.

Horribly. Scheduling was very difficult. I insisted that I wanted to be here when they did the work. I would get angry emails from the owner that were always posted after 11:00 p.m. saying the times I suggested (after 3:00 p.m. when I could get home from work) were impossible and rude to his employees. We finally agreed upon a time, but they still came earlier in the day when I was gone. When I called and spoke to the owner, he "mansplained" me and said I was lying, I had never asked to be on the property when they were doing the tree work. He cut me off, talked over me, and told me I was wrong. We finally decided he could come and show me how they'd made the cuts (what I had wanted to see), but he never fulfilled that promise. I did pay my bill, as the work was done and done fairly well, but I will never hire this sexist man again.

Any Hovland is very knowledgeable, and describes and explains in a clear and understandable way. He made appropriate and useful suggestions. It was easy to decide both what I wanted done and what didn't need to be done. The work was completed professionally by his staff, on schedule, and with excellent clean-up. The result is beautiful, and exactly what I wanted. He gave clear instructions for watering/maintenance. It was somewhat difficult to contact him, but email works eventually--and the result well worth any inconvenience.

Wonderful. Andy even left us a stack of firewood. I had a bunch of plants around the base of the tree. I figured I would lose those, not a problem, if I really cared I could have moved them myself. Lo and behold, Andy dug them out and put them back right where the tree was. I say that's above and beyond. And no mess was left, nothing. I wish I had more trees, I'd hire them again.

It went excellently! The work was delayed until winter. If oak trees are pruned in summer, the sap will attract a certain insect from up to 4 miles away and that insect can kill the oak tree. Hence, always in winter.

They didn't have to bring in any equipment which we liked. It took them 2 to 3 hours. They did a good job cleaning up. They seem to know a lot about trees and landscaping.

It was refreshing to work with someone so passionate and knowledgeable. Aside from the obvious improved look of our trees, you would have never known that work was done. Clean up was the best I have EVER experienced.

All the people I dealt with were very friendly and responsive to my questions.  The estimator had some suggestions about further work that might be a good idea in the future, but wasn't pushy about it at all.  He just gave me the lowdown and moved on to the next thing.
The day of the trimming the crew pulled up right on time.  The crew leader talked to me to make sure we were on the same page about the work that was being done and then got right to work.  I was surprised, both by how quickly the job was done and that they didn't use any chainsaws.  Everything was done with muscle power.  I expected to have the sound of chainsaws all morning but they were very quiet. 
The work they did was very good and the price was reasonable - not the cheapest, but on the low end of the 4 quotes I got.  I would definitely recommend Branch and Bough Tree Service to anyone needing to have some tree work done.
