"These guys get stuff done! They turned an overgrown, eye sore weed path into a beautiful garden. Not only is the work grade A quality, they got it done in half the time I thought it was going to take. This allowed for a couple bonus projects that they gladly took on. Call these guys now!"

"After my Father's unexpected passing, my Mom has been left with all the house duties that her used to take care of for her. I decided to find a service to help for the winter with snow removal and I couldn't be happier with these guys. Every time it snows they come out to clear the snow automatically and they do a great job. I plan to have them help this summer with lawn mowing also."

"We had a row of about 50 lilacs that had been there for years. Chris did an outstanding or removing them and cleaning up after that was done. He was on time and worked extremely hard and quick especially since his help didn't show up for work. He worked extra hard to not mess up the yard which was on the soft side. I had anticipated a messy clean-up but everything was leveled and raked. I have recommended him to a friend who needs some landscaping work done. All I can say is that he did a super job on a task that I have labored over how to get the job done without destroying some plants and he did it with ease. If I need more landscaping work, you can be sure that I will call Chris. Great Job!!!"

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Generally, snow removal from a roof should occur once over six inches of snow accumulates, especially if you notice that ice dams have formed. Without ice dams, you can let the snow accumulation hit 12 inches before removing it. However, the amount of snow that is too much for your roof also depends on the sturdiness of your roof and the compactness of the snow. If your roof needs maintenance or has structural issues, it’s best not to let the snow accumulate too much for fear of collapsing.

That depends on the size of your snow blower and how efficiently it uses fuel. Most snow blowers will last between 1 and 2 hours on a full tank of gas. Larger blowers tend to use fuel more quickly and need refilling more often.

Keep in mind, the average snow blowing project for a home driveway takes around 30 minutes. Large driveways and yards will take around an hour. A full tank of gas should be more than enough for snow removal, although the height of the snowfall will have an effect, too.

Yes, snow should be removed from a deck to protect it from damage caused by moisture and heavy loads. Shovel the snow off of your deck regularly once it is more than four inches deep. Avoid using salt, which can damage your deck.

If a big freeze catches you by surprise and you don’t have any deicer to hand, you can reduce the chance of taking a tumble by laying gritty, anti-slip materials. Some natural, readily-available options that don’t melt ice but offer traction underfoot include sand, wood shavings, kitty litter, and fireplace ash.

Snow can be too heavy for a snow blower and cause clogs in the chute. However, having the correct type of blower for the snow conditions can reduce the chances of it being too heavy for it to handle. Another trick for preventing clogs is to make multiple passes while it snows rather than waiting for it to finish snowing.
