Not a big-box retailer but a small family-run business. Received some good information to compare brands and models from sales people. They also provide service and repairs. After a few months our new fridge needed a new part to remedy a noise issue. They were prompt in coming out to diagnose problem and were prompt in installing the new part when it came in.

Everything went great. We showed up and were greeted right away. We were then shown around the showroom but were also left to explore on our own. They were not pushy in the least, but were very helpful with any questions that we had. Once we settled on the washer and dryer that we wanted, we explained that we had found the same items elsewhere at a lower price. Without hesitation, they assured us that if we could get a quote from the other company, that they would beat it. We got the quote and Steve's beat the price, including the discounts. Delivery also went smoothly and with very little wait. We will definitely go back to steves for the next appliances that we purchase.

Through word of mouth at our church, family, and friends, Steve's Appliances has always come highly recommended. We were incredibly happy with the service that they provided for us. They price match with any other appliance retailer out there, and they are kind, honest, and dependable. Our refrigerator stopped working, and so my husband and I decided to replace all of the appliances in our kitchen because they were all not working to their full potential. Not only did Sarah give us a great deal, she even took the time to answer any and all questions that we had, and looked up different makes, models, prices, etc. Her and her coworkers were extremely kind and gracious to us, very accommodating with our two year old little boy that was running around throughout the two hours that we were there. The appliances were delivered at the time that they gave us, and they look and work wonderfully. Sarah even went above and beyond and helped set up a plumber for us to run a gas line into our kitchen the same day to make sure everything was installed and working properly. Amazing! Thank you for the great experience, and we will be recommending your business to EVERYONE that we know!

The first service call came promptly and he was able to diagnose the problem right away.  Unfortunately the repair required two parts - one they had in stock - the other they had to order.  They said it should only take "a couple of days" to get the part in.  It was almost a week and I hadn't heard anything from the company so I ended up having to call them.  They didn't yet have the part but the receptionist said she would check on it and call me back. She did call back the same day and said they would have the second part the next day. I wanted to schedule a Saturday repair (which they do have Saturday scheduling) but the original repair person didn't work on Saturdays so I ended up having to take a second day off work for their return visit.  The repair person showed up within the window I was told and he had my stove fixed in about 15 mins.  He was very professional and easy to work with and now I can bake cookies again!  Overall experience with this company was good - they just need to work a little on keeping in contact with clients when waiting on part orders.

They are small company. They are honest and helpful in picking up appliances appropriately. They replace your appliance in case of wrong size. They delivered it free. We waited a bit before for the appliance was delivered but that was due to circumstance.

They are the most honest people when it comes to appliance repair I have ever known. They are family owned. They are an outstanding company! We use them regularly. They are the only appliance company we use. I wouldn't hesitate to use them. We paid a couple of hundred dollars the last time we used them because we needed a pretty significant part but they are very reasonably priced. They charged us for the part and about an hour of labor, and they even didn't charge us a service fee.

I had bought a Fridgidaire stove from them a while back, and a knob caught fire not long after I got it home. Steve's refused to help me, and told me to talk to Fridgidaire. After raising the devil, Steve's finally agreed to replace my stove for an additional $300 for a nicer model.

Every contact we've had with Steve's has been great. Products are about the same price as a big box store, but the service is substantially better. Installers are careful and polite; sales is knowledgeable and/or will look stuff up while you wait.

Washer leaked from side of machine

I had my washing machine repaired, as it had been leaking water. They sent someone promptly the next business day and he arrived early in the window they gave me, which was great. I was quoted $79.95 for the service call (travel and diagnosis) plus parts and labor for any repair work. The repairman's demeanor was curt, and in my opinion bordered on rude, so as far as professionalism went, I gave them a and quot;Cand quot;. The problem appeared to be some corrosion or other debris obstructing the vacuum seal of the fill channel. It just needed to be wiped away and the machine closed back up again. For that wipe I was charged $50. I've given them a and quot;Dand quot; rating for price, simply because while I guess they can charge a repair cost to wipe off a seal, it seems an pretty big overreach to call that $50 worth of repair. To summarize, they got the job done in a timely manner. But based on my opinion of their cost and professionalism, I won't use them again.

From the standpoint of the repairman being on time and performing the repair in a timely fashion, it went fine. Unfortunately, he was rude and arrogant. For that reason, I will not use Steves Appliances again. I also feel the overall repair charge of $300 is high, but I went forward because the dishwasher is only around 5 years old.

My parents bought all their appliances from Steve’s so when I got a house I went there too. I bought a washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, disposal, and a microwave from them…..almost the best deal I found anywhere. They guarantied their prices couldn’t be beat. They included delivery and installation and wrote me up a quote for that. They completed several rebates for me. If you leave it straight at that they were an amazing company to work with. I do have some tiffs with them though.

While I was shopping for furniture at a different store I saw some of the similar items I had just bought with a “prices cannot be beat” sign. I inquired about their prices without telling them what Steve’s charged and they returned a written quote that was a few hundred dollars less. I had already ordered my items and it had been about two weeks (they were not installed yet though) so I sent the quote back to Steve’s to get my price adjusted. I guess the price match guarantee is only for before you buy the items because Sarah seemed pretty hostile about being nickel and dimed and protested that I was not considering the benefits like my free gift I got when purchasing and delivery and installation. The other quote did include delivery and installation but since I didn’t buy anything from them I didn’t ask about any free gifts (which I have a hunch they would have done too).

I was given a quote for the parts that I would have to pay extra for during installation. They added another $63 to that for installing a water line since there was an icemaker which they didn’t expect to have to do….I purchased the refrigerator from them so I assume they knew about the icemaker, they also knew the house was a new construction so they should have known there was not an existing line attached to an old refrigerator. The rest of the installation appeared to go fine so it was not that big of a deal – I did know I had to pay for parts, it was just disappointing to know I needed to pay more than I thought.

Before my cosmetic warranty on my home expired I had my house re-inspected. This was one of the biggest issues listed: and quot; The drain line for the dishwasher was running under the floor of the kitchen and was visible in the basement. This installation is contrary to plumbing standards which would require that the dishwasher drain connection to the plumbing waste system is separated by an air gap. This condition will result in water accumulation in the drain line and possible objectionable odors in the dishwasher.and quot; I was concerned with this and asked the inspector how he normally sees them installed; he gave me a couple of what he called approved examples.

I contacted Steve’s with an email including that paragraph. My email was abrasive and I was met with an abrasive response. They did send someone out to look though. The person who came went in the basement to view the drain line – he spent more time telling me how my deck was installed improperly because the nuts were loss then talking about the drain line. He went up and looked at the plumbing behind the cupboards then he just kind of stared at me. He wanted to know what the problem was, so I showed him the report. He looked at the dishwasher again and said that he did not install it. I knew he didn’t install it, but figured he meant the company so I told him that “yes you guys did.” He told me he was the one who did all the dishwasher installations and that he would not have installed a dishwasher in that fashion. I realized he did not think Steve’s installed the dishwasher so I gave him my paperwork showing that they did. He looked puzzled and then said that he must not have been available that day so the delivery guys did the work. He looked at all the things he had already looked at and said that it was installed correctly. I told him that he had just said it was not the way he thought it should have been done and he reiterated that he said it was not how he would have done it, but it was done fine. I asked him about the air gap that was mentioned. He showed me a picture of a nub sticking up from the top of a sink (sort of like a sprayer would be; only it was just a nub). He said that if I wanted an air gap I needed a nub, I showed him the pictures of the under the sink air gap the inspector sent. He told me the inspector was wrong about the dishwasher being installed against code. That was pretty much the end of the conversation. He left and we had both wasted our time.

I am not sure who was right in that situation the inspector or the installer. Either way I was tiffed that the installer pretty much said that people who were not typically installers did the work and it was not done in what he thought to be the best way. For the most part the appliances that I got work well and I feel I got them at a good price. In this area they were pretty stellar. However, once the items were purchased they were a less impressive with their customer service. As for the dishwasher, it only works ok.

However, we have hard water so I would be hard pressed to say the dishes don’t look clean because of any installation problems.
