Commercial and residential tree and shrub care specialists. Celebrating 31 years of forestry experience. Family owned & operated by chuck & Megan Strike. Chuck has a bachelor in science in forestry. Megan has a landscape architecture degree. Megan is a specialist in native Minnesota trees, shrubs, woodland wildflowers, prairies, and birds. Travis strike is chuck and Megan son, and has over 11 years of experience in the family business. Leonard Bain is an arborist technician, trained by chuck strike himself, Lenny Bain is an expert operator and technician, Keith Casiday is a certified arborist, with a bachelor of science degree in urban forestry.

The company and all the staff were prompt and professional from first contact, quote to scheduling and completion of job. We had a huge tree that was overhanging a neighbors home, along with another tree, that needed to be taken down and they worked with us to make sure it was done well. The job was completed with timely notification on scheduling and clean up.

Very pleased with work done by Balsam Tree and Shrub Care. They took down tree for us and we elected to cleanup wood ourselves. They moved and stacked branches which made our job SO much easier. This big oak was right alongside our paved driveway and they took great care not to leave any marks with the equipment - and not a branch fell on it. Might have found someone to do the job for a bit less, but Balsam's expertise and ease of doing business was more than worth it. We've got a lot of trees and I'm sure we'll have a need to call them again!

Very professional crew, took steps to protect the yard/grass from their equipment (i.e., laid down plywood before driving eqpt onto lawn). Speedy work; completed all 5 trees in 4 hrs. Raked all debris completely clean before leaving. Would definitely hire them again and recommend to friends and neighbors.

I hired Balsam Tree &; Shrub Care to trim my trees, remove a tree and shrubs in August 2018. The crew arrived as scheduled with all the necessary equipment for the job. An experienced and hard working crew completed the job at the price quoted. When they finished the property was clear of all debris, leaves, tree branches and shrubs leaving my yard spotless. If anyone I know needs this type of work done I would not hesitate to recommend Balsam Tree & Shrub Care.

Curtiss came to my home and promptly gave me a written estimate. Based on the winter weather, the job got scheduled and everything was done as bid using top of the line equipment. I appreciate they are arborists and climb trees being trimmed without spikes. Additional work was done well and reasonably. I plan to have Balsam back for future work. Robert E.

Work was completed in a timely manner. At that time we scheduled a very large oak tree trimming for the colder months. I was called with a date, they came on time and completed the trimming. That oak tree was between our barn and a pole shed with power lines near by. Work was professionally done. I would not hesitate to call Balsam Tree & Shrub Care for future jobs.

I feel their fees are reasonable. We had a 15" tree and a 6" tree taken out, stumps ground, and 4 other large trees culled/trimmed back at the right places. Tree work is inherently pricey, but for what they charged me, I got a lot done and will use them next time it's needed.

The tree was removed professionally. The removal method was climbing it and cutting into sections rather than driving a truck into the yard. Clean up was good.
