"The salesperson was available to answer my many questions and added a remote feature for free. They had a very good price for new Trane furnace and air conditioner and are sending in discount paperwork to energy company. The installers came the next day and took away old stuff and put in new furnace, were very friendly and answered all questions. So far everything is working well. Haven t needed air conditioning yet. Would highly recommend."

"Could not recommend more. Prices were very reasonable for install of an AC unit, and we had gotten multiple quotes before deciding on HVAC Doctor. Everything was done incredibly fast from the free quote to the install. The owner was very straightforward and honest which we appreciated more than anything. We will be using them for our hvac needs going forward and will be recommending them to others."

"Speed, accuracy, vast knowledge of air conditioners that give most value in MN vs southern US. 18 year old AC died on a Sunday, replaced in 4 hours next day. Unbelievably fast response for full AC replacement in mid-summer."

"Absolutely over top excellent! They did an amazing job! Would highly recommend to anyone! They even showed me the before and after pictures of my air ducts, which installed even more confidence in the professionalism of Integrity. I talked to him about a concern of a musty smell in my baby’s room and he went the extra mile to also sanitize the duct. I wouldn’t chose anyone else after my experience with Integrity! And will most certainly use this company again! Very satisfied!!!"

"Extremely well, at least from my POV. (Well, it was a little noisy, but what would you expect?) The problem with the a/c developed a couple of weeks after my previous experience, so I called B&D again; after discussion decided that replacement of both was a good idea. The majority of the work was done in an all-day session on 9/23/16, with finishing on 9/26 and the final touch (duct cleaning) on 10/6, for which the delay was all my fault. Luckily, both September days were good in terms of temperature, which can matter very much. These people are incredibly good at fitting large pieces of equipment neatly into small spaces (as with the water heater, softener and filter installation previously reviewed); my mechanical room looks full, but is also fully functional and I will be able to get the washer/dryer in and out if/when that time comes. As before, the crew cleaned up behind itself and took away the old equipment (thank you!). The new equipment is from Lennox; I now have a thermostat which will give notifications of problems (and which I have yet to figure out completely: that will come.). The duct cleaning is out-sourced, but fully deserves the same AAA ratings. We just made the deadline for rebates from Xcel and CenterPoint, and filing for those was taken care of for me. I have, unfortunately, forgotten everyone's name. The cats naturally hated the whole experience."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, through thorough cleaning and inspection, optimizing functionality, and reducing energy use.

When faced with HVAC issues, it's best to begin by ensuring the thermostat settings are correct for either heating or cooling. If the system isn't responding, check the thermostat for proper function and power supply. It's also important to examine air filters, as clogged ones can decrease performance. Confirm the power supply to the system by checking the circuit breakers and fuses. If these basic steps fail to resolve the issue, contact an HVAC professional for a more detailed diagnosis and repair.

High humidity is one of the most common reasons for air vents to sweat or produce condensation. When the cool, dry air from your HVAC unit meets warm and moist air in your home, it will cause condensation. Insulating your ductwork can help prevent this. If you live in a very humid region, a dehumidifier can also help.

If your whole house is cold that’s one thing, but what if you only have a few rooms that are cold? First, you need to determine why this may be happening. A good place to start is to investigate the potential causes listed in this article—heat transfer, airflow, thermostat problems, humidity, and insulation. Once you’ve narrowed down the issue, you’d apply the same principles to the cold rooms as you would to the entire home.

Yes, scorpions can enter a home through AC vents, especially if the system is not well-sealed. As excellent climbers, they can scale a home's exterior and squeeze through gaps as small as 1/16 of an inch. Scorpions are often attracted to the moisture around air conditioning ducts or seek cooler areas during hot weather, using vents as a pathway inside. They may slip through small openings where the duct meets the vent cover and travel within walls before emerging. To prevent this, inspect your vents, seal any gaps, and consider installing fine mesh screens.
