Maybe they should refund the money paid for heat pump install until part gets installed to 100% customer satisfaction. They don't call, text, email on updates or anything, they wait until you call at the end of the week and tell you it will be completed the following week. After 4 plus weeks can they just tell the customer that they are incapable of completing the work and refund the money so I can get a more reliable company to complete the job. These reviews will be a daily routine until we are refunded for a job incomplete and to be able to get what we paid for. "

How long do water heaters last? The average tank-style hot water heater will last 8 to 12 years, while a tankless water heater may last up to 20 years. Large families that use a lot of hot water will put more stress on the unit, potentially shortening its lifespan. Regular maintenance and repairs can lengthen the unit’s lifespan.

The only case they wouldn’t have separate expansion tanks is if the boiler is pulling double duty and managing a heating system while also supplying hot water for a home. In which case, you may not need a hot water heater.

Water heaters seldom ever burst, but when they do, you should know the warning signs to protect your home. The biggest sign that your water heater is about to burst is a sulfuric smell. If your home inexplicably smells like rotten eggs, then this could be an indication of a gas leak in your gas water heater. If gas leaks out of the unit, it could ignite and cause an explosion, so you should immediately shut off the gas and call a plumber near you to inspect your water heater.

When wondering what size of breaker for a water heater is appropriate, the majority of hot water heaters need a 30-amp, two-pole breaker. Most residential water heaters use 240 volts and between 3,500 and 5,500 watts. If your appliance matches these measurements, a 30-amp breaker is likely perfect. Owners of point-of-use water heaters using 120 volts and between 1,500 and 3,000 watts often find that a 30-amp breaker is adequate. Water heaters that use more watts than average may need a 40-amp breaker. Smaller units that use fewer watts could potentially use a 20-amp breaker.
