Wencl Plumbing

I hired Wencl Plumbing to install a radiant heating system (boiler and baseboard radiators). The system install was poor to say the least, and it didn't work right from the beginning. I had to hire another shop to remedy all their bad work and now Wencl Plumbing is coming after me with collections agencies because I subtracted what I spent to fix their bad work from their final invoice (which wasn't enough to cover it anyway, so I'm in the hole from fixing their bad work and they're still coming after me). I'd steer clear of this outfit, no quality control whatsoever, full of...excuses, lies, and misrepresenting facts. Update Feb 2023: Currently I’m paying another shop to complete repairs to the boiler because when Wencl Plumbing installed the water softener (at the time of the boiler install) they never actually started it up. The boiler is now receiving repairs as a result of the softener not being operational, and now the softener may require replacement because it was never actually started and has been trying to run all this time. The hits keep on coming, thanks Wencl Plumbing. Update July 2024: I was contacted by a collection agency looking to collect money on behalf of this hack shop. I told them the same thing I told the last folks. The only way I'm giving that idiot a nickel is if a judge orders it, and there will be a countersuit! I spent a boatload of money to finish the job that Wencl was hired to do and could not and would not finish. Wencl Pluming is run by a hack, there's no quality control, no accountability, no professionalism. This is in regards to management/ ownership, I'm sure some of the folks working there are great. My beef is with Sam Wencl, the hack pin-head owner.

We decided to go with that. He was very professional. He installed the piping and did some concrete work. I was very happy that the price was much less than the $400. It was also nice to have the owner of the company do the initial assessment.

very professional and great to work with from start to finish. everything went very well, they had a problem with a blocked floor drain which was a challenge to clean out.  

I had called Wencl Plumbing on Friday August 17, 2012 to come unclog my very clogged kitchen drain. we had tried everything we could think of to fix ourselves but nothing worked.  They were unable to come on Friday because they were booked up. So they were here first thing Monday morning, I waited because they were the most reasonably priced. He used a power snake and had my drain unclogged with in 10 minutes. He checked all my other drains to make sure they were working and after all was ok with them he left . total time here approximately 25 minutes. They did a good job were in and out very quickly. The thing that impressed me the most was the price. They charged me 75.00 to come out and 2 others were going to charge me 100.00 just to come out.

They are the only people I have used for the last 20 years. I had called them for fixing my dishwasher, but they could not fix that. They cost me an average of $80. I continue to use them because they are good people. When I was working in a company, they were the plumbers in that company. They treat me right. I will use them again in the future.

They came out the same day and installed it the way I requested it. They seemed frustrated because my wife could not provide them with the information they needed on the phone.  We were not given any options and the service tech was not very courteous or friendly.  Our floor was left a mess and the top of the hot water heater was dirty and contained excess shavings and solder requiring us to clean up after they left.  They completed the job but made no attempt to ensure we were satisfied customers, so their customer service leaves a little bit to be desired.

Overall, we were very pleased with the service we received from Wencl Plumbing.  Based on our personal experience, we would have no problem recommending them to family and/or friends.  We will not hesitate to use them for any of our own future needs.

Kenny is always ready to fix all the big and small projects that have came up in owning our home we have used wencl plumbing (kenny) for the past 20+ years. 

We have been having trouble with our toilet backing up into the shower. I called Thursday afternoon for a quote, received one, and the plumber came Friday morning at the scheduled time. The quote and the actual cost were surprisingly within $25. The plumber worked all morning he removed the toilet and started snaking the pipes. He removed the roots and found everything else that was clogging the toilet. He then replaced the wax ring and put the toilet back in place. He cleaned up the bathroom when he was finished.

The plumber that came over was a great guy and explained what was going on as he did the work. While the repairs were going on he did point out several areas that would need my attention after the spring thaw occured. I additionally had them give me an estimate for replacing my hot and cold lines in my house, I plan on calling them when I am ready to schedule this work. They seem willing to work with DIYers and gave me some good how to advice and tips that will make my job easir when I redo my Kitchen.

We called early that morning, and they said they would have techs out to look at it by 1:00, and they were here by 12:30. We explained the issues we were having, that it was not heating the water at all, and that the unit was extremely old. They asked us to follow them downstairs while they inspected the unit. They throughly explained what they were looking for and how it made the unit run. Upon inspection, they explained the age of the unit, and that at its age it was not only dead, but using so much energy that it was not even worth repairing. They explained the different options we had, like a similar tank with different gallon sizes, the energy they used and if it would be the right fit for how much water we used. They also explained the pros and cons of the tankless water heaters, and that they had mixed reviews on how others liked them. It was their recommendation that with the mixed reviews on tankless water heaters, they would suggest a 60 gallon waterheater. They placed the order, and were here the next day, at the time they said they would be, to install the unit. They were very respectful of the flooring upstairs, and made sure to answer any questions we had during installation about the unit. The only poor thing I could say is that they did not clean up the sediment that was left on the floor, leaving me to clean up the mess.
