"The guys were great. They were on time, professional and did not leave until the job was done. There were mechanical issues with the toilets and they had to get 2 other ones. They continued to do work as needed while one went to pick up the toilets. I would definitely use them again."

"He did a great job and they did what I wanted them to do. I was not there when the job was completed. There were a few changes that needed to be made, I called them, they came right out and took care of it. I was very happy with the work that was done."

Hi, I’m Mrs. Michael, and when you need something repaired, We wanna be your guy. Back when I was raising two babies, my husband and I started a plumbing company, an electrical company, AND a heating and air company. Mr. Michael is a genius with tools, but he did NOT enjoy running 3 big companies, so he asked me to do it. Turns out, I LOVE it!! I believe that if we make your problems disappear quick and easy, then when someone you know needs something repaired you’ll say: “I’ve got a guy! . . . Her name is Mrs. Michael.”

"I called Mrs.Michael plumbing and electrician on a Sunday and was told the service call would cost $129. However, I wasn?t informed that the $129 only covered the technician?s arrival. Once on-site, I was told diagnosing the issue would be an additional $450 ? and that price only covered two outlets, with anything else costing extra. I?ve rented homes for over 30 years, and I?ve never encountered such misleading pricing practices."

"I've had Shoner out for 3 different jobs now....I didn't want to have a plumber out, but it was necessary. I did some research and ultimately hired Shoner, and it was a great decision. Their prices were very fair, and they did excellent work. The plumber who has completed all of our jobs (Alex) was great - very timely in responses/communication, seems very knowledgeable, explained things clearly, and was fair about what repairs are actually needed (i.e., not trying to "upsell" or overstate what is needed). I would highly recommend Shoner for your plumbing needs!"

"Everything was excellent. The repair of the drywall left a seamless finish. The primer and paint job blended extremely well with the rest of the ceiling. I have had drywall repaired before and the end results were always poor (ridges). I would highly recommend this company! We are just thrilled with the results. And the price was much deserved. All of the employees were a pleasure to work with."

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

How do you set your well’s pressure tank? All you need to do is first drain the tank of water and find the pressure switch. Remove the switch cover and adjust the switch with a wrench—clockwise to increase water pressure, and counter-clockwise to reduce it. Each complete turn of the nut on the switch should equal 2.5 psi. Once this is done, replace the switch cover. All that’s left is to adjust the pressure of the tank itself using an air compressor and a tire gauge to support the new setting.

You should have your well inspected once per year. You should also have a well inspection done when you’re buying a house with a private well, when the well cap is opened, when the septic tank is repaired, or when there is flooding.

During your annual visit, a pro will make sure that everything is working correctly and check for certain contaminants, including total coliform. Every other year, they’ll look for things like metals and nitrates, and every five years, they’ll test for pesticides.

Ideally, you should conduct a mechanical inspection and a bacterial or well water inspection yearly. While you might be able to push it off to every other year, it’s best to have peace of mind, especially when it comes to something that you use so frequently.

If you experience repeated gastrointestinal illness in the household, it's important to test the well water more regularly for quality and cleanliness to check for bacteria.

Another common question is, what pressure should your well tank be set at? The standard rule of thumb is to set your well tank’s pressure at 2 psi below the cut-on point of your pressure switch. So if your well is set up for a high cycle of 40/60 psi, your pressure should be set to 38 psi. If you use a low setting of 30/50 psi, you would set the pressure to 28 psi.

There are many potential causes of low well water pressure. The most common include sediment buildup, leaking pipes, a failing well pump, or a cracked pressure tank.
