"We had some sewage back up into our basement sink on a Saturday morning. I called Clog Busters based on their Angie’s List reviews. They didn’t have a crew available on the weekend, but were available on the following Monday. The crew did a great job explaining the problem and finding a solution for me. Great customer service and they earned their money working in some frigid and snowy weather. I hope to never have another sewer backup, but if I do, I will call Clog Busters."

"We recently moved into a condo and found that it had some plumbing problems. Jim did an outstanding job fixing all the items.  He put an upgraded garbage disposal in that is more powerful and quieter. The shower water temperature is perfect and the toilet flushes as it should.  Jim came on time, he was courteous, cleaned up after himself, (including cleaning my sink!), he was very knowledgeable and he explained what needed to be done and why. Then on top of that, he noticed that there was a large build-up of corrosion around the water heater shut-off valve pipe.  He said it should be replaced ASAP, because we could have a flood if the pipe broke. I called the condo maintenance person and he agreed with the assessment.  I called Associated Plumbing and they returned in two days to fix the pipes.  I was very impressed with Associated Plumbing, and I will use them in the future.

"He was very professional and did a good job. He even came early. He gave me a selection of products to install. And he even came back later to check to see that everything was ok. I highly recommend Edge plumbing."

"Great! They came in and did the job quickly. The price was excellent and the walls look so amazing. They even provided me with advice on the best paint to choose because I knew nothing about what kind of finish was best. They fit me in despite having so many other jobs to take care of and they completed the job so quickly. They also socially distanced to the best of their ability and used masks when speaking to us. I will definitely be using them again for any other paint jobs I need done."

"This company is extremely responsive and appears to care greatly about the job being done.
They really try to give the customer exactly what the customer wants.
I was out of town for most of the entire job; they took charge and made it happen.
They replaced the counter tops with granite and the backsplash and sink. and also performed some minor repairs to a cabinet.
I would have appreciated not having an extra join in the granite; and have now found that the nails used are breaking the wooden shelves underneath the counter.  I would have also appreciated it if the plumber did a better job with the disposal; first it was installed on the left sink versus the right and then, thanks to the positioning of the disposal tubes by them, it cost me an extra $200 to get the dishwasher examined for the grit that was remaining after the wash....only to be told that it was the positioning of the disposal tubes that caused the problem.
I would hire them again.

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, plumber's putty ensures a solid bond between the drain assembly and sink. Silicone is a good alternative if you prefer not to use plumber's putty. However, plumber's putty typically isn't visible from the outside of the drain, as you can wipe away any excess when done.

The best material to use will depend on your budget and style goals. Fireclay is a great choice but is expensive and heavy. Stainless steel is less expensive and more durable, but lacks the wow factor a clay sink might. Copper is very expensive but lasts a long time and has a striking appearance. Those looking for an industrial look can go with concrete, or those looking for a classic design might choose porcelain.

Porcelain and enamel sinks have very similar appearances, but they aren’t the same. Porcelain is a ceramic made from natural clay, while enamel is a strong powder that’s glazed over a metal sink. Use a magnet to determine whether you have an enamel or porcelain sink. If a strong magnet sticks to the sink, it’s likely enamel. If it doesn’t, you probably have a porcelain sink. You can also use the model number on the sink (often found on the underside of the bowl) or information from the manufacturer to determine the material.

Try to tighten the clevis crew and adjust the lift rod if your sink stopper won’t stay up. Sometimes your screws became too loose over time, and as a result, there wasn’t enough resistance to keep the sink stopper up. If a damaged lift rod is the cause of the problem, you will need to replace it with a new rod.

Quartz sinks are incredibly durable, making them resistant to cracks and chips. They’re a high-density engineered stone, so they’re less likely to crack when exposed to daily impact. But because quartz sinks are so dense, they are very heavy, making installation a challenge. If you’re a novice, there’s a chance dropping one during installation could crack or break the sink. Additionally, repeatedly dropping heavy objects into them could create a crack.
