They had a sale which made me go with The Home Depot. We were without a refrigerator for five days. My husband told them it was the compressor and they said no it would not be the compressor but it was. My husband is a retired engineer and they were arguing with him. Eventually they did fix it. The parts were not quickly available. We had to wait until they shipped the parts. Therefore, we were without the fridge for five days. They did reimburse us for food. I put in a claim for $77 and they paid that within a week. The reason they did not have the parts was that they said where would do the compressors break and they thought it was something else, and as soon as they changed that part it did not work, so they knew it was the compressor. I would use their services again in the future."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/howell/the-home-depot-reviews-262161.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Rande's Water Softener Service","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Heather M."},"reviewBody":"A neighbor referred him to us. I felt very comfortable with him. He fit me into the schedule quickly and I didn't have to wait long for the install. He was neat and tidy with his work. He had to do some drilling through the sink and that was clean. He cleaned up after himself in the basement. He turned off all the lights and cleaned up after himself. He was in and out. He explained what he was doing and he was really easy to work with. We would absolutely use him again. He gave us his cell phone number and said to call anytime day or night if we had any problems so he could come out and fix it."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/rives-junction/rande%27s-water-softener-service-reviews-6274694.htm"},"position":10}]}
Appliance Sale reviews from real Angi homeowners in Jackson, MI
Strongly considering a Better Business Bureau complaint. I was told on the phone it would be a 45 min appt. The sales guy (yes I said sales guy. They don’t send an actual contractor) was still talking an hour and 15 min later. NOT because we had questions, or because he was doing work we...

Tom did a great job! Was very impressed that he was willing to come out right away (several others just told me how busy there were and it would be a week or two.) Reasonable rates for a weekend and I was completely impressed with the logic he used to find the issue. He went to Hope Depot to...

McDaniels is the home of the largest showroom in Mid Michigan. In 1956 McDaniels began selling cabinets to Builders. Today McDaniels Designs Kitchens and Baths sells to builders, remodelers, home owners, realestate companies, interior designers for projects covering every room in the home. McDaniels is family owned and operated with over 20 people to serve your needs.
"Before embarking on a full kitchen renovation, I did significant research. McDaniel's advertises a stress-free, full-service process, and since I’d never been through a home reno before I figured this was my best option. It was far more expensive than ordering from a big box home improvement store, but I figured it would be worth it. McDaniel’s was great during the sales process. After which the greatness, or even adequacy, stopped. The first cabinet I opened on delivery was damaged on both the frame and the door. The next cabinet opened was the sink cabinet. It was the wrong cabinet. The other large cabinet, for the built-in microwave, was also ordered incorrectly. Lower cabinets came unfinished on top and the end cabinet (the bookshelf on the end of the peninsula, or the piece de resistance!) unfinished on the sides. As the project went on, it was clear the measurements were not thorough, and every modification costs precious time and money. For instance, moving light fixtures because the cabinet wasn't measured for depth costs an additional electrician and a drywaller. Every single cabinet in my kitchen has dents or pitting. I expected that a small amount of cabinets would arrive with scratches or minor damage, I didn’t realize every single one would! The quality does not reflect the price of these cabinets. My stove, which was ordered and paid in full, never came. I cancelled it after waiting 4.5 months. What bothered me most is that no one cared that my project went so off track. I was constantly calling to check on delivery of stove, cabinet doors, trim, etc. My designer was very responsive. She always got back with me quickly. But I was never offered real solutions to these issues. In sum: the value for money is not there. I dealt with the same level of stress, frustration and contractor modifications I would have with a big box store, but it cost me roughly 60% more. McDaniel’s is a sales company, nothing more. If you know that going into it, you are far better off than I am."

"I use my Outlook client to manage 10 various email accounts. My main account stopped sending emails. I contacted the Geek Squad. The first rep couldn't help so she/he transferred me to Agent Kannamala. The agent worked on the problem for about 20 minutes calling me twice during that time. I watched him delete my gmail account and then try to reinstall it manually. It was obvious he was having trouble. Then, all of a sudden, he terminates the session. No call. No email. Nothing. Then, I get an email from Best Buy saying "Today I ensured your Outlook fully functional and up-to-date". Now, NONE of the email accounts in my Outlook client work. I tried to get a manager but anther rep said that would take hours........I'm going to look for another support service."

If you’re debating whether it’s worth repairing a damaged appliance, consider a few factors, including the appliance’s age and the cost to replace it. Large, high-value appliances are worth repairing, especially when the fixes are minor and the appliance is only a few years old. However, if the cost of repairs is more than half the price of a new item, then it may be worth replacing it. For example, if your refrigerator repair costs continue increasing and add up to more than 50% of the cost to replace it, you’re better off buying a new one.
In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.
There are a few scenarios when replacing all kitchen appliances simultaneously makes sense, including major renovations, moving into a new home, or purchasing as a set. If you want to refresh your kitchen upon move-in day or start over during a renovation, consider purchasing and replacing your kitchen appliances at once to save on labor costs. Also, if your appliances are all original to the home or are older and require increasing amounts of maintenance and repair, replacing them all at the same time may be a good option.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
