"We were very pleased with the staircase and railing construction completed by MGM Carpentry and highly recommend them for Carpentry and construction work. Mike worked efficiently completing the demolition of the previous stairs and railing in one day. He identified and corrected structural deficiencies from the previous construction and completed the remodel and finish work within the time he originally stated it would take to complete the job. He was even able to stay on-budget with the exception of the additional repairs identified during demolition. Even then, he discussed any changes early and found effective solutions that didn’t significantly increase the cost of completing the work. We are absolutely delighted with the quality and appearance of the finished staircase. He kept a tidy workspace and cleaned everything up very neatly once the job was completed. "After looking at our two repair jobs, Nosh explained in detail the work he proposed to do and the cost for each.  He discussed the options with us for fixing the front porch brick, and we agreed with his recommendation to replace all of the bricks rather than a piecemeal brick by brick replacement (about half of the bricks were bad).  Nosh impressed us with his knowledge and professional manner, so we decided to have him do the work. 
Nosh started in immediately, going to three different brick sources until he found bricks that would be a close match to the bricks on our house.  He started work on the porch promptly the next morning, arriving early in the morning and working until late afternoon when it started to rain.  He returned early again the next day and finished the chimney late that afternoon.  When working on the chimney, he had planned to replace 5 or 6 courses of bricks on the chimney, but found he had to go down about 9 courses instead (he had to buy additional bricks to complete the job).  He did not charge for the extra bricks or additional labor.  He also discovered a cracked section of flue, which he replaced for only the wholesale cost of the flue liner.  He also replaced one brick on the front of the house that had cracked, and again didn't charge for the extra work.
We are very pleased with the final result.  Nosh did excellent work, and clearly takes great pride in doing a quality job.  He goes the extra mile to make sure everything is right, and when he finds additional unforeseen issues, he corrects them to make it right (the cracked flue liner is a great example).  He leveled a section of concrete sidewalk in front of the porch, and reset and secured the concrete step up to the porch at no extra charge.  He took the time to find the right bricks to match the bricks from 2 decades ago used on our brick house - you'd never notice the bricks had been replaced.  Plus he's a fun guy to talk to.

"This was one of the most pleasantly surprising repairman episodes I have ever had. It started when I called the company and the person I talked to understood immediately what my problem was, and said he would have "Brian" out to fix it within 2 hours. Brian showed up right on time after giving me a call to say exactly when he would be coming. He assessed my situation, had a better idea than I did for what was needed, and he promptly set about fixing it. He explained everything as he went along, taking pride in what he was doing. When he finished that, he did a complete inspection of my garage door operations, explaining to me what he was looking for. He sprayed things that needed it, and explained to me what to spray, and which places should get silicone spray and which WD 40. The work was guaranteed. The bill was very fair, and my $10 off coupon was cheerfully accepted."

"Gary was extremely helpful and efficient with his remodel project at our house.  We wanted a wall opened up to install barn doors between two rooms and he was very quick with responding to our messages and visiting for a quote.  Once we had discussed the project details he gave us a very reasonable quote on the spot.  After agreeing to the quote he was out and began work within days, staying into the evening to complete his work.  Several questions did arise as to the work he was completing (ie...hole in the subfloor) and he quickly contacted us to let us make a decision about the direction it was going.  The work was complete thoroughly and well-within the agreed upon time schedule.  The only minor issue that we had with the project was that the work space was not cleaned up (debris, materials, and dust left behind) and some of the demolition materials were left in the house.

Overall we were very pleased with the quality, cost, and efficiency of the work.  We plan to work with Gary again in the future and would recommend him to anyone looking for in-home remodel projects that they are considering.
