Scott was a referral from my sister-in-law Laura Y. It seems like in the 10 years since she reviewed him his work has gone down. I hired him to repair and restore a custom deck that my late husband had built. We walked around the deck and showed the things that needed to be done. He gave me a quote with specifics on it and I approved the job. He did what was on the invoice and basically NOTHING MORE. He knew this was a restoration job and it would have scope creep. There were areas that obviously needed to be repaired. I noticed a couple post with ant damage and requested he replace them and he did for a cost. But anything I didn’t call him out on he didn’t address. Scott just smashed putty into the bad spots. There were areas where he over tighten a screw and worsened a crack. He shoved blocks under sections of the rails rather than fixing them properly. Of course I was invoiced for those additional repairs when he left. I was out inspecting the decks and there’s multiple areas that were repaired with putty and the putty has since already come out. His work ethic to make sure the job is done and done right is AWFUL. I am very disappointed in his work and would never hire him again or recommend him. Additionally, the whole time he was working at the house he had such a poor attitude and moody beyond belief, as if it was my fault that he lives an hour away and that it was raining for a week. He should have recommended the areas where replacement boards were needed and suggested a repair. Please look at the photos to see what he considers a finished restoration job. The icing on the cake was when he threatened to take me to small claims court because I complained and wanted him to finish the job. What a piece of work he is!!!

Scott did a great job restoring our baseboards, door trim and window trim back to the original 1929 look. He was able to make custom baseboards, shoe molding and back band that matched the original trim. He dropped of the unfinished wood and gave us a couple weeks to apply the stain and polyurethane. He installed all the trim just before Christmas and the house looks beautiful now. He completed the job on schedule as promised. I will certainly hire Scott again for any future project.

Scott was punctual, professional, and did a wonderful job building a custom-made fireplace mantel for us. We gave him a photo of a mantel that we used to have at a prior house and he did an excellent job matching the design. We would definitely hire him again.

Superior Woodworking and General Contracting did an excellent job on our remodel. Scott was great to work with. The job cost what was quoted, the work looks terrific and it was done quickly. They stayed on top of all the details of the project, stayed organized and were very responsive to texts, emails and phone calls. Scott was very knowledgable and hands-on with the work throughout the project and brought in great subcontractors to complete the work. They even worked around my kids and a birthday party we hosted during the project.

Scott did a great job on my custom walnut top coffeee table and barnwood top barn table! The job was done on, budget and delivered right to my house. I highly recommend Scott for his excellent carpentry skills, professionalism and competitive costs.

Fantastic! Scott worked amazingly hard to get the many jobs done in a short amount of time. This did not affect the quality of his work either. He definitely prides himself on his workmanship, which is why we has been our contractor for all our four restaurants!

Scott and his team were fabulous. Scott's quote was much more thorough than other contractors, and from the beginning of the work he helped identify a significant structural issue that needed to be fixed by a waterproofing company. Despite timing delays on our end to make that repair, he was very flexible and accommodating to reschedule our work with him later in the summer. His team was responsive and polite throughout the job, with high craftsmanship. We really appreciated his integrity in letting us know about the issues he saw behind the paneling --- not all contractors would do that, but Scott has high standards and does the right thing.

Scottt and team did a great job. We are very impress with our basement. Scott understood our budget constraint and help tailored the project based on our needs. He is very honest and open and explained to us every step of the way. His team was also great at time management. We will certainly be using Scott again for future projects.

Overall, terrific! Since this is a commercial (restaurant) project not residential, timing was crucial since during renovation we could not acquire any profitability financially. We had a strict deadline - which meant not a lot of time - to complete the projects. But, Scott, owner of Superior Woodworking, worked diligently to make the deadline. In addition to making the deadline, his talented woodworking skills produced high quality, unique and creative barn doors, accent walls, booths, community tables, and cabinetry. As owners, we are now very proud of our restaurant decor! Many thanks to Scott for making it all happen!

Everything went really well, from communication through the actual work. Scott traded ideas with myself as well as with the city to come up with a solid plan given my requests and the fact that the house was a new construction. Work was completed quickly and looks great.

Excellent! Scott the owner did all the work himself. He clearly understood what was involved and worked efficiently to complete the work much quicker than we expected. He made good recommendations regarding materials to be used so as to ensure a long life for the replaced trim and doors. Scott was easy to work with, knew what he was doing, and had all the right tools. He was very professional. We are very pleased with the results and feel we got very good value for our money.

Scott was very easy to work with.  He was open to design ideas and was quick to respond to any questions we had.  Overall, the project turned out close to what we had expected though there were a few surprises that popped up due to some details we did not communicate.  Overall, the quality is impeccable and the built-ins look like they've always been there.  Scott also really worked with us to meet our budget and still get what we were looking for.  I'd work with him again in the future.

We have recently moved and our contractor of many projects was no longer within range so we were looking for someone new. We now know that Scott can help us with anything new that comes up.  Scott was professional through the entire project and offered some great suggestions for helping the finished look.  The project started and finished in the time frame that was originally quoted and came out exactly how we hoped.

Scott is great to deal with.  When he makes an appointment, he keeps it and is on time.  I had issues with my old doors and called upon Scott for help.  He recommended I check out these doors from a large box store which I did:  they were the Andersen 4000's.  They are beautiful doors, heavy duty and the removal of the screen to the glass and back to the screen is a snap - a job I will be able to do by myself.  The old doors were really awful - bad fit, gaps at the bottom, ugly frames, etc.  But Scott knew what was needed.  They close properly, they're a great fit, and I just couldn't be happier with his workmanship.
I will be calling on Scott to do some cabinetry down the road because I know he's a perfectionist in his work and is also very professional when dealing with customers.

Scott was so quick and easy to work with. He was competitively priced with other companies. Whatever we needed, he accommodated and came up with a solution. We hired Scott to repair and replace some second story wood railings when the original contractor messed up the job and left without returning.  He came when he said he would, and he contacted us in advance to keep us updated as to changes to the schedule (there was only one).  He brought a very clean and tidy trailer to work out of, which showed that he cared about his craft. Scott worked quickly and efficiently in the time he was here, and the railings look great.  We were very satisfied with the both the product and the process, but especially with how professional Scott was throughout.  It's rare to find this level of professionalism with contractors, so I'm glad we found someone we can call in the future.  Thanks, Scott, for a job well done!

Scott did a wonderful job. He did most of the work by himself and was promptly there every morning. He was very professional, and worked well with the hot tub installers. As problems arose (as they always do), he standard answer was: "I'll figure it out." He always did. His craftwork was top line. We are very satisfied with Superior Woodworking.

The table is beautiful and he was a pleasure to work with! I was a little indecisive and he was very patient with all my requests. The table fits in the space perfectly and looks like it was built for the kitchen. My whole family loves it! I would highly recommend him.
