We hired his company to install carbon fiber straps on two of our basement walls that were starting to bow in a bit. We had quotes from several other companies, and we chose Precision Foundation Systems because their rates were competitive, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the process, and there was no BS nickle and diming going on like a lot of the other companies. He just quoted an all-in rate, then did a really beautiful job. They installed additional bracing where needed (and other companies did not include) and even added an additional strap at no addition charge--all to ensure he was completely resolving the issue and not leaving us with a potential problem in the future. He didn't mark up the permits at all either, which we appreciated. "Though more accomplished than expected, the workers surprised me with a failed result. They couldn't put the project back together correctly; everyone saw something was off. Outside the stall looked fine, but the tile they "replaced" was actually the original, just poorly handled. They left the last row unfinished after hitting a curve hard and breaking the tile apart. Instead of using a diamond saw for a clean $400 straight cut, they took a shortcut that ruined the piece. The tile broke jaggedly, so they tried to hide the damage by burying the break line under piles of caulk and extra material. Now, the fracture is "leaking" through the mess. Worse, they left a metal tool inside the assembly, blocking water flow. While the drain placement was okay, the plumbing is now a disaster. They tore up the floor unnecessarily when they could have just cut small plugs around the pipe, swapped the plastic, and used thinnest Because of their "gung-ho" attitude and lack of communication."
