Russ did an exceptional job dealing with waterproofing issues at our home in Troy. He was prompt, responsive and professional. More importantly, he dealt specifically with the actual problem, as opposed to competitors who were determined to offer extraordinarily costly and unnecessary drainage systems, which were absolute overkill to the actual problem. If I have an issue again, I'm calling Russ. He consistently had a thoughtful response to what I was seeing.

Precision Foundation Systems was every thing I needed, I'm SO happy they were recommended to me! I thought the work on my basement would take about 4-5 days, it took 1 1/2 days from start to finish...including clean up! They were very professional, I'm so satisfied! THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY HOME!.... ANN W.

Great experience-start to finish. I cannot say enough good things about working with this company. Russell made sure I understand exactly what was happening with our foundation, exactly what him and his crew were going to do, and how much it would cost. Zero pressure to hire them - just an explanation of what was happening and how it could be fixed. Sometimes construction was delayed, we started much later than I had planned…and it took longer than expected - BUT I would hire them 100x over. There is no other company I would trust with my foundation. Period. His crew worked in the pouring rain, cleaned up at the end of the day - (meaning they swept the street in front of my house) and protected my grass during construction. I would challenge ANYone to come over and guess where they dug. (8ft+trench) The crew even preserved some trinkets for my girls when they dug in their fairy garden♥️. I’m so impressed with this company and though it was the most $$ I’ve spent ever on a home - I’m so so glad we hired them - and I am so grateful that we met him. Btw - he was there often to inspect the work and explain where they were in the process, what they had done, and why they’re doing it. I will recommend Precision to any/everyone who needs a service like this. ⭐️ ⭐️ ?⭐️⭐️

I spoke with roughly every foundation repair business within 25 miles of my home, and all gave me vastly different solutions upon seeing my home. Based on the research I did (online articles, reddit, etc.) Russ's solution aligned with everything I was looking for without me having to lead him there. We had new I-beams installed (plus several carbon fiber straps because my stairs hug the wall), new internal drain system, one wall re-aligned (with exterior waterproofing including hauling away clay soil and backfilling with peastone), and tuckpointing. It was a huge job to say the least, but the quality of work done was outstanding. During the job he will call you over to educate you on everything he's doing. His #1 priority is making sure you (as the customer) are 100% satisfied with the work being done. You always have the opportunity to ask questions, alter the solution, or add-on additional work. He has a solution for everything. With all that being said, you'll probably have to wait awhile, and it's on you to keep the line of communication open. My advice to you is if you don't hear from him after consultation/quote, follow up with him, try to gauge when work will be able to start, and follow up as the date gets closer. He runs one crew at a time so that he can oversee the job, he does every consultation/estimate himself, so it's challenging for him to chase everyone down to see if they're interested. Most companies want to get in and out as fast as possible, cutting corners, etc. Russ doesn't operate that way and will make sure the solution implemented is bulletproof. Your patience will be rewarded. It was great to meet everyone on the crew, big thanks again to Russ, Russell (son), Jake, Jay, David, and Tez!

The work was excellent. They were timely and performed the repair quickly and efficiently. They were sure to provide us with as little inconvenience to our day to day routine as possible, which was a big plus in my book, because home repair is stressful. I really haven't seen many companies who were as accommodating as they were. The owner was in constant contact with us throughout the job, not only by phone but in person! He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and polite. Even at the end of the job when he was picking up the backhoe he asked if we wanted to loosen any of the shrubbery we wanted to remain in our landscaping for the time being so it could be easily removed later if we decided to. Some companies come in, you never speak to the owner, they lag on the job, they're disorganized, they don't stick to their timelines, they inconvenience your home life, and you never get to tell anyone you want something done differently than originally planned. I had the exact opposite experience with Precision foundation, I saw no one slacking, they stuck to their timeline, I was able to speak with the owner, I was able to change the original plan, I could add-on work, they were happy to do provisional work, I could change something to my liking, and they were affordable. It was a great experience all around. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a basement waterproofing company who knows their stuff, gets the job done quickly, and is willing to work with the homeowner. A+

Precision Foundation was worth waiting for. Russel went out of his way to contact soil engineers for advice since our house presented unique problems. The crew were very polite, conscientious and hard working. Russel was honest regarding our house's problems and was always willing to answer our questions. He tells it as it is, no slick salesmanship. All our questions and concerns were answered and addressed. We would definitely use this company again if needed. They are honest and fair. I was very impressed with how much hard work and clean up they did.

Russ is one of the few contractors I've hired that over-delivered on what he promised. We hired his company to install carbon fiber straps on two of our basement walls that were starting to bow in a bit. We had quotes from several other companies, and we chose Precision Foundation Systems because their rates were competitive, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the process, and there was no BS nickle and diming going on like a lot of the other companies. He just quoted an all-in rate, then did a really beautiful job. They installed additional bracing where needed (and other companies did not include) and even added an additional strap at no addition charge--all to ensure he was completely resolving the issue and not leaving us with a potential problem in the future. He didn't mark up the permits at all either, which we appreciated. At the end of the day, it's all about the quality of the work, and I can't imagine anyone doing it better, cleaner, or more professionally. Thank you for exceeding our expectations Russ! I almost never get to say that to a contractor!

You the the kind of person that knows so much about their profession it makes you realize you’re not that deep an expert in yours? That’s Russ at Precision Foundation Systems. He diagnosed the source of my leak in about two minutes and had someone out to fix it in less than 24 hours. He knows his sh*t and his price was extremely fair.

Excellent. I feel like today it is difficult to find contractors who do quality work and who are willing to stand by it. I called the number listed and probably within a few hours received a call back and Russ was very accommodating to the point where he was able to come out to look at it the next day. After the quote, he was able to schedule and complete the job less than a week later. The crew worked fast and left very little to no dust. I would say one of the biggest takeaways from this job is that I never got the run-around and constant rescheduling that I've been used to with other contractors.

Extremely well. The owner, Russell and his son did everything as promised. The work was performed as planned working around the weather we were notified when it would commence and it was completed to our satisfaction. This was a big messy project that was done professionally and cleaned as if they had not been there.

Russell was great to work with. He gave us a few options and explained how each would work. We chose the carbon fiber straps. Russell's crew came over and installed 15 carbon fiber straps in about 10 hours. With some light clean up the next day. They used plastic sheeting to wall off the work area and used lots of canvas runners on the floor. This effort lead to little or no dust in the house while they did there work. If you consider they had ground the paint of the cinder-block wall, drilled four inch holes in the cinder-block and back filled the holes with cement that was remarkable. Afterwards they cleaned up and left the basement in a very clean state put everything back where it was. Only time will tell on how well the carbon fiber straps hold up to the pressures of nature against the walls but, Russell made us feel very confident in the process and the carbon fiber straps ability to hold up over the years to hold the walls in their current state.

The installation went very well, I am happy with the quality and design of the install. I had received quotes from a few other companies to install straps or I-beams, but Russ took the time to explain exactly what was needed. He wanted to install more straps than the competitor, but ironically it was at a better price. After researching carbon fiber strap installations, I found that his design would work the best (competitor wanted to use far fewer straps, but it would've resulted in 5-6' spacing, and 4' is recommended max). Precision was also very good about moving junk out of the way, since both walls had shelves that needed to be removed, etc. One thing I will say about Precision... I think they are very knowledgeable and good at what they do, but they don't have the a large operation like some of their competitors. That means, they don't have the additional staff manning the phones, scheduling, etc. So the company can keep their overhead low and offer very good prices, but on the other hand it can be difficult to reach them sometimes. Overall, I'm very happy with the installation, and will likely hire Precision Foundation Systems to do a bigger job very soon (helical pier install).

I am a licensed structural engineer, and I hired Russ because it was very clear that he knows what he is doing. He properly sized and reinforced new concrete foundations and masonry piers. And, to his credit, he would not build new foundations on saturated soil because soil is weaker when wet - Russ waited until the soil was dry enough to safely build on, to make sure things went right. Russ made sure I was satisfied throughout the entire process. He maintained communication with me so I could plan accordingly for the work to happen. His crew was mindful, professional and courteous. They cleaned up after their work, patched a minor issue with a duct that was in their way, and warned me to close my windows when they needed to sawcut masonry blocks, to prevent dust and noise in the house. His son was part of the team at my house each day and is equally committed to the work. Russ was on site for all 3 of the days required to finish my work, and he came out again at the end to discuss the results and give me my invoice. My single word of caution to other customers is just to be aware that simply because of Russ' expertise, he is busy with other jobs, at least in summer 2016. He will work with you to determine priority and your job will get done, and done RIGHT, but you may need to be a little patient due to his other jobs or weather. Talk with him about this if you are concerned about timeline. I hired him in spring/summer so other work is probably at a maximum during this time. All in all, I would absolutely hire him again and have already recommended to a friend. Russ is committed to making you happy, and his rate was much better than the competition.

Showed up when promised for quote & actual repair. Very accommodating and honest. I felt like they would do whatever it takes to make the owner 100% satisfied. They repaired a floor to rim joist crack in the basement foundation wall and two leaking rod holes the right way and then ran water outside and soaked the troubled area to verify leak was sealed - quality work. I would recommend this company and will definitely use them again if needed.

I was initially skeptical that this job could be done in sub-zero temperatures but it went off without a hitch and although it took a week, was messy, and a big investment for me, I wasn't stressed because I had confidence in Russell's expertise and was sold on his method of using carbon fiber straps instead of I-beams.

Russell is very knowledgeable about all aspects of what he does and I'm relieved to know that this job is done and done properly. Russell is also very good about explaining all the steps. He is training his son who did much of the inside work. I have confidence in their honesty and character.

I had several rod holes that were leaking and a crack that went from a window to the floor. The Rod holes were identified and sealed up.The crack was ground out and epoxy applied plus a few carbon fiber staples across the crack for extra stability. After they torture tested it with water spraying from the outside and waited around. From this we spotted one minor rod hole issue and it was quickly addressed.
The Tuck Point Job was to address a crack forming on the mortar of the brick on the exterior. They ground out the old mortar and put fresh mortar back in. Looks like it matches quite well.
Overall I'm pleased with the work that was done and I'd recommend them to anyone. This job was probably a very minor one for these guys but I'm sure they can handle some of the tougher jobs.

Russ Hastings is the owner of the business. We had a small leak in a crack that had been repaired previously by Concrete Waterproofing Solutions several years back. The crack reopened. Also we had some other cracks that left us concerned because we live overseas and come back only occasionally. Because we were back for the holidays, we had a very short timeline to inspect and repair, if needed. I explained this to Russ and he made it a point to come out ASAP. He inspected the cracks and gave good information on why they had happened and made us feel much more comfortable that there was not a major problem, but more of a normal occurrence. Russ inspected and made note of which cracks we needed to be concerned about and which we're more superficial and non structural. We repaired 4 total cracks and reinforced one corner although it was likely not needed. When a provider of materials was not open for the holidays, Russ called friends to obtain needed materials. His team worked late to accommodate my schedule and Russ will come back to check that all repairs are as planned. The cost was roughly the same as other quotes. As a note, the prior repair company noted above apparently did not even fill the crack as the quoted. When we ground off the top layer of epoxy, it was clear that the crack was never filled. Unfortunately this company no longer exists, but I hear their owner does under another name. Be careful! We recommend Russ and Precision Foundation Systems. He warrants work and it is transferable. Likewise, he made sure to pass on warranties from the manufacturers of the materials used.

The helical piers were outside installation requiring 6 foot deep trenches about 6 feet wide around 2 rooms. He was exceptionally careful with the entire job, around wires, sprinkler system, walls, and landscaping. He did a very thorough job -- knows his stuff exceptionally well. Took care to compact the ground around the walls for several hours. tarped the area to assure it was dry while work was in progress. Brought in several yards of topsoil to regrade landscaped area dug up during project work. Carbon-kevlar strapping was a "re-do" from a different contractor. Russ brought in the manufacturer of the Fortress Strapping business to evaluate previous work done and the repair necessary to make the walls structurally sound. He also insured the foundation was tied into the house frame with 90 degree steel bars. He was "on the job," supervised his crew, only came to the job when the steel helical piers were in his warehouse so work could progress quickly as long as it was dry. I trust Russ to do anything with a foundation that needs to be done. I also had him inspect a new home's basement to insure it was safe and stable. He is the best in the foundation business.
